Obama wows deaf community by speaking sign language

if I see someone say "speaking sign language" one more time I am gonna die... its not an oral language. It would be Obama wows the Deaf community with sign language.

Ohmygosh! bama said thank you in sign language and now that kid is going to vote for him. I think the kid was already going to vote for him and I can say thank you in many different languages.
That doesn't qualify me for the job of president.

I don't care about the wows. The real question should anyone want to ask it would be:
"How many tingles up and down the legs"?

I'm getting married to a deaf woman, she isn't impressed with Obama one bit. But sign language is a special way to communicate for real. It is a language in itself and people should learn it as a second language.

I so agree. I can do some simply things, used to be able to do more when I worked with some of the deaf, but haven't used it in quite a while and am a bit rusty.

Remember practice makes perfect. Get back into it, they need signers for many things.

Funny, I have been thinking the same thing. I need to dig out my book and oil the rusty parts.

It's not hard to learn sign language. Go for it!
My 5th grade teacher taught us to sing several songs in American Sign Language, I learned more on my own to converse with friends.

The people on this post who are hating on the president for speaking to the death in sign language are showing just how ignorant they are. The man can do no right in their eyes. I hope you are ready for another 4 years, because your deaf candidates don't even listen in sign language!

It would be great if Obama was doing that because he cared at all, but he's only doing it becsuse he's on a down hill slide and he seriously needs some new votes. Pathetic is what this really is.
