Obama is ahead for sure.. but National Polls are meaningless for the Presidential Election because votes aren't counted that way. At this point one has to look at the combined state polls and their relativity to the National Electoral map - which has Obama MUCH farther ahead of Romney. Mitt has no chance.

It's a problem with the citizens. Neither of these ( ______ ) are good for America. We need a true conservative in the oval office. Not a neo-con or a commie.

Most citizens are blinded by their party's bull. Both Republican and Democrat parties are corrupt to the core.

A pure conservative? Id rather have a moderate. A pure conservative will simply end up as this. norsefire

And the regime of that said "pure conservative" will inevitably end up as :
pure conservative moderate pure conservative simply regime pure conservative inevitably

Polls in July say nothing about November. Romney has several billionaires willing to spend as much as it takes to make sure he is elected. And money wins elections, not quality candidates. Romney is behind because he has said so many different things we can't be sure what he stands for, other than wanting to be president. But with the money behind him, it is a done deal. Governor Walker was a terrible candidate too, but by outspending his opponent 8 to 1 look what he was able to accomplish.

no matter the amount of money spent, people still have a vote and they aren't stupid.
Didn't whats-her-name find that out in California? She spent millions and still lost.

You assume I care what polls say. I would not care if 99.9999999999% of the population was so enthralled by the man that they built a shire to him in their den and worshiped him like a god (though I suspect some here actually do this).

Romney is not nearly the megalomanic that Obama is, but he has his fair share problems.

i don't think so. wait till the debates. Romney cannot explain why he said he would hope his Romneycare would "go national".

And Obama can't explain he is not a marxist from all he has said and been brought up on. And his record shows he has evolved to a fascist. Now Romney not much better as a world progressive but with the help of some true conservative freshmen in congress to work with the bunch that came in 2010 they will keep him in line

    1) The dog thing.....seriously.
    2) He's past his prime. Shame they didn't run him as McCain's VP. The GOP would have possibly even won, and he'd have been in better standings than he is now.
    3) He's a Republican, and there are an inordinate amount of people who have had them 'up to here'.

Neither, depends on which phones ring on any given day. Call certain areas of the country - you'll get one answer. Call another and you'll get the opposite. We won't know until November.
