The ONLY place taxes went up for the middle class and working poor was in their SS/Medicare taxes. And by the way, those taxes will go up again by 1/4 % each year for the next 8 years if my guess is correct. Why? To avoid lowering benefits and keeping the current COLA adjustment. The Repugnlicans ARE NOT going to be able to cut SS/Medicare benefits ever in the future.
But you want taxes to go up to pay for that government job while sitting on that fat ass of yours.

You and many like you don't have a clue what it is like to work for a government agency and do REAL benefit for the taxpayers. In my case if I were to total the savings to the taxpayers that I made directly or indirectly it would be in the millions of dollars. One such suggestion saved $1.3 million PER YEAR in the maintenance of our 475 vehicles. Another one saved more than $2.6 million per year in outside contracts which did not need to be let as a result of the cost savings programs I instituted.
NOT EVERYONE that works for government agencies is a drain on the general public.
Further, the retirement programs we have are PAID FOR FROM OUR SALARIES as direct pretax contributions to our retirement programs. They are part of the salary we get and EARN.

I planned my education/career/retirement and I'll be damned if someone like you can bad mouth MY PLANNING for my own security.
IN ADDITION, I made damned sure I never got into the credit card trap and paid cash for everything I have today. My farm/ranch pays for itself and is free and clear. I generate my own power, pump my own water and create my own fuels. I grow my own lumber and crops to eat.
Additionally, I contribute back to the community around my 100's if not 1000's of pounds of food every year for the local food bank.
I am no leach nor have I ever been one. I worked hard for every dime I earned, harder than most and I got out of it a well planned retirement.
Hope you enjoy yours cause from the sound of it you are nothing but a whining old man bitter at the success of someone else.
