Obama to Stop Deportations of Undocumented Youth

A Department of Homeland Security directive announced today brings changes to the nation's immigration policy and will reduce the number of deportations of undocumented youth. The policy, effective immediately, bypasses congressional authority. Obama is expected to make the formal announcement at 1:15 PM ET.
The announcement comes during a week when immigration activists have occupied four Obama campaign offices to urge passage of the DREAM Act.
The Associated Press reports that the move will affect 800,000 immigrants under the age of 30 who were brought to the U.S. before they were 16 who had up to this point been in danger of deportation.
“Our nation’s immigration laws must be enforced in a firm and sensible manner,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said in a statement. “But they are not designed to be blindly enforced without consideration given to the individual circumstances of each case. Nor are they designed to remove productive young people to countries where they may not have lived or even speak the language. Discretion, which is used in so many other areas, is especially justified here.”

There is something seriously wrong with people who just want to " round them all up". Who will do that? It is not possible, and even if it was, where would they be housed? At present, those awaiting deportation hearings have a 6-8 week wait and longer. Add 11-20 million more to the mix, and we would overburden an already burdened bureau. It would cost the government many billions. Deportation is wildly expensive because many came here by plane and must be returned the same way. No, Mouthbreathers, we cannot just march them back across the border. What makes you think Mexico wants our illegal Chinese and Europeans?
As I correctly stated, Jesus stood by the most vulnerable members of his society including tax collectors, prostitutes, thieves, the crippled and outcasts. Perhaps you could take a lesson or two from Jesus.
It's funny you mention Obama's alleged pandering but fail to mention how Romney panders to the worst and extremist fundamentalist religious elements in the United States.
Jesus, on the other hand, had tremendous compassion for the outcasts of his society including tax collectors, prostitutes and others.
Romney is pandering to a group of people who consider his religion a cult.
President Obama's policy for DREAMers is a compassionate move and the moral thing to do.

President Obama is attempting to clean up the mess left by Bush/Cheney who gave us too much far and too many handouts to the 1%.
Perhaps, you should read what Jesus said about the two greatest commandments.

A member of my family helped draft the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the document outlines basic human rights that go beyond anything the constitution offers as a right.
As for John 8:11, it doesn't apply since free movement is a human right. The U.S. is a signatory of the United Nations treaty and should abide by international law. Since it doesn't, the U.S. is a rogue nation in more ways than one.
