Obama to Military: Pay Up...

Yankee Traveler 2012/06/30 13:01:56
The Obama administration on Friday threatened ( the real terrorist ) to veto a defense
appropriations bill in part because it does not include higher health
care fees for members of the military.

“The Administration is disappointed that the Congress did not
incorporate the requested TRICARE fee initiatives into either the
appropriation or authorization legislation,” the White House wrote in an
official policy statement expressing opposition to the bill, which the
House approved in May.

President Obama’s most recent budget proposal includes billions of
dollars in higher fees for members of TRICARE, the military health care
system, and is part of the administration’s plan to cut nearly $500
billion from the Pentagon’s budget.

Some fear the administration’s proposal is an effort to increase
enrollment in the state-run insurance exchanges mandated under the
president’s controversial health care law.

The administration urged ( aka arm twisting) the House to “reconsider” to fee increase,
arguing they are “essential for DOD to successfully address rising
personnel costs.”

The House bill has significant bipartisan support, and easily passed by a margin of 299 to 120.

The military are underpaid for the hours they put in, a lot were on public aid in the 80's and 90's to get by. They and the retired don't need increased premiums, more lies from the government.

I've got a better idea. Raise premiums on Congressional and Presidential insurance programs. Leave our military alone.

More proof that he has no respect for the military. in fact he could care less about them. This is proof he even means to to harm to them.

Are they forgetting that Healthcare after retirement was considered "deferred compensation" for the low pay and dangerous conditions faced by the military esp in the '60/70's.
So many so called benefits have dwindled away yet we have the obama and crew bailing out private unions for being stupid and greedy, while now telling the military to F Off. Just more proof the obama hates America and her Military personnel past and present.

When members of Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court Justices pay an equal percentage of their income towards their health care, I might agree with them. Right now their coverage is exempt from the Affordable Care Act AND their insurance is paid for in full by the taxpayer. I'd rather pay a soldier's health care in full then any one of the DC crowd's insurance!

We have Tricare Prime. Our rates haven't gone up yet, but we're paying very close attention to this. Let there be no doubt that this "CIC" does NOT like the military who work for him.

We have the same, this administration hates all people who work or have worked for their money.
