His so called investments are breaking the bank. What good are these alternative energy sources if they lead us to ruin. They are cost ineffective. I have been a proponent for alternative energy for 30 years but until they are cost effective you don't shut down the only sources of energy we have. If he countines to bankrupt the country with his energy policies you can forget about your beloved alternate energy sources. The average American won't be able to afford any energy. We need to make energy cheap, get back on our feet, then develop new forms of energy.

Regardless, hard working people don't need the welfare, ISS, or the food stamp people. Hard workers need only their self reliance, something long bred out of the welfare career people. Obama is NOT one of the hard working people, he's a receiver on the government dole!

I think you may misunderstand. In the private sector system and free markets, there are winners and losers. Obama cannot reconcile that. That the fact that many Americans work hard day in and day out to get ahead is lost on him. All he sees is that those people "have" while others "have not." To him that means that people in America don't "have" because they work hard, but because they have somehow exploited the "have nots."

This is the root idea when you hear a liberal talk about "economic justice." In politics the word "equality" means one of two things. To the conservative it means "equality of opportunity." We all abide by the same set of laws/rules, we all have the same rights/liberties. Some will do better than others based on their talents.

To the liberal it means "equality of outcome." If one does better than another, then it isn't fair. The rules must be changed to adjust the outcome. An example of this would be affirmative action. Correctly, it is illegal to NOT hire someone because of their race. Yet, the results were not desirable. So along came affirmative action, dictating that companies must hire a certain number of minorities, regardless of their ability to do the job. The results are still not desirable to liberals. So now we have entire science programs shutting down at UC because there are not enough minorities enrolling to meet the diversity requirements.
