Here it comes folks. Obama is on his way out and knows it and is starting to implement as many anti-American policies as possible before being kicked to the curb. This is nothing more than a desperate attempt to get the Spanish vote and continue with his anti-American agenda.

Obama has to go period. He (The POS-In-Chief) said he couldn't wait, meaning he was going to bypass congress, and is already starting his full fledged "Screw America" campaign.

No one should be surprised, BO stopped deporting everyone last year in favor of "dangerous" criminals, now he makes it legal for the children to stay.... slowly but surely they will become Democrats.

Constitution 14th amend, forever withholds the right of citizenship in the case of accidental birth of a child belonging to foreign parents within the limits of the country

America's own naturalization laws from the very beginning never recognized children born to aliens to be anything other than aliens if the parents had not declared their allegiance to the United State - a sure sign that the framers intended children under national law followed the citizenship of their father until he had become naturalized.

Somehow or another I think the Law supersedes the indoctrinations and misleadings.

I didn't see anything in Obama's speech that declared these kids citizens?? The way I read the 14Th Amendment, is any child born in this country are natural born citizens. I don't understand this accidental birth? Who knows if it was meant to be a purposeful pregnancy or not. Anyway this executive order was for children that were brought into this country illegal.

The way citizenship was granted in those days no one would have ever thought of such a thing? There would have been absolutly no reason for it. How many of the people coming in at Elis Island do you think had visas. My guess is 0. Certainly darn few. Bet your ancestors didn't. Don't think mine did when they arrived from France and Germany. Course on my fathers side that appears to go back before visa were invented.

The senator who authored this Amendment, and president Andrew Johnson agreed this would pertain to alien parents who had a child born in the United States. No senator disagreed with this. I still don't know what this has to do with Obama's executive order?????

I don't know what it has to do with Obama's administrative directive (this doesn't raise to the status of an excutive order.), either. Just pointing out that The 14th amendment has to be interpreted differently today then then because how citizenship is determined is different. Up till about 1920 the US wanted all the citizens it could get and pretty much took anyone who wasn't from asia. Then things changed and formal rules came into play. That is one of the reasons that we need a new comprhensive immigration law. What we have now just grew and needs reform.

How does the dream act encourage more illegals to cross the border. You really think anyone crossing the border with children will do it just because of Obama's executive order. I think they are crossing the border for more important reasons like finding a job so they can eat. Anyway it's all moot for now, the illegal crossing is down to zero.

Does anyone but me find it strangely odd that Obama recently stated that his hands were tied by law on this subject, therefore there was nothing he cloud do. Now he's done something. Either he was lying then, or he's breaking the law now.

It's interesting how he wants the Hispanic vote so badly as to try and entice it with this. The rest of his voter base must be pathetically small.

I wonder how unemployed US Citizens feel about this?

by what right is the "dream act" the right thing ? Why does proximity + poverty (self imposed ) force the USA to provide opportunity ? You would love to say the Dream act is being shot down by Republicans but just like the crazy budget fact is even Democrats have not been voting for it - he biggest problem with President George W Bush was his liberal ideas on illegal immigrants . Nether Mexico nor America are getting "better" because of our policies (or lack of enforcing policies)
The dream act is flawed and it has bad intentions as well - Mexico is not even poor if you look at world economics so demanding economic asylum for unlimited present and future Mexican nationals is just a political stunt and in no way a policy
