President Obama signed a bill on Thursday that will make it easier for small businesses to find investors. The Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act makes it possible for "ordinary Americans ... to go online and invest in entrepreneurs that they believe in," with the hope that small businesses will expand quicker and start hiring. He also hopes the bill will help bridge the gap between Republicans and Democrats, and House Minority Leader Eric Cantor helped sponsor it.

Obama said at the signing ceremony, "I've always said that the true engine of job creation in this country is the private sector, not the government. Our job is to help our companies grow and hire ... That's why I've cut taxes for small businesses over 17 times. That's why every day I'm fighting to make sure America is the best place on Earth to do business." But will the JOBS bill improve the job market? Tell us what you think.

He just wrote his name on another piece of paper.....the country would be booming if his signature impressed anyone.
He hasn't a clue how to create jobs...writing his name doesn't cut it!

It may take a while to get out of the mess that the economy is in. Don't believe signing anything is going to help at this time.

I'll have to remain neutral until I know more about it..., but I have a feeling that the "JOBS Act" is most likely a misnomer. There is no doubt a bunch crap sandwiched in between some B.S. and topped with a heapin' helpin' full of manure of the highest quality.

Well said. I think in the beginning they go to Washington with the idea of serving the people and end up serving themselves.

I suppose there are some... but I'd have to guess that there are far fewer with those notions (even in the beginning) nowadays than there were, say twenty or more years ago. It seems that even the freshmen politicians are well aware of the game & tend to go into it with motives other than the best interests of their constituency.
Anyway... the election in November will prove that most people talk & talk but in the end they're too afraid to actually take action. So, I'm sure the majority of incumbents will keep their positions, even though they are tearing our nation apart & The People will continue to take it in the shorts, but with their own blessing.

Good grief...you still don't get it. Obama has been your president for three years.
We told you he was an incompetent know nothing and not up to the job.
Three years later..the job market is still in the toilet and you are blaming Republicans?

In case you hadn't noticed, Obama and the Democrats, when in control of both houses, were unable to pass a budget!!! That's Obama's job....epic failure!

No they don't, they want Obama to fail in socializing America, not America itself. If Obama fails in his idealistic pursuits, America wins.

The incompetent president has already failed, big time!

No one in America is better off since he was elected!

He's a failure and you are too obsessed to see what is in front of your face. Stop blaming others for his incompetence.

    Time to get real!

We are talking about Obama, and he has had three years to do something!
He has done nothing...we are worse off !

Why do you keep going back to ancient history and spewing the Obama mantra that nothing is his fault and insist on blaming everyone but Obama, the guy who is in charge??

When does he accept responsibility for his failed presidency?

I'll tell you...when we vote him out in 2012!

You are irrational and you are yelling. Whew!

Your premise is without merit....did you forget former Democratic President Carter, another loser, who try as he might to destroy America with his inadequacies, failed and we are still here!

Although if push comes to shove, Carter was a lightweight failure in comparison to Obama.

What thousands are dying except those Obama puts in harm's way, illegally, to promote Islamic Brotherhood without consent of Congress? Or our Border Control Agents because Obama refuses to protect our borders?

Try thinking clearly instead of repetitious yelling about false ancient history, and blaming everyone but the guy in office, who has not done the job he was elected to do. The ball is in his court and he dropped it!!

    Actually, yes.
When headlines are written in all caps, they are actually yelling at you. It's been a part of print media since forever.
That is, actually, the intention of all caps in print... to yell.

(There are some Soda Head users who use all caps because they can't see well, so they say it helps them. But they get called on it often & always have to explain their degenerating vision. Now that you know, however, you will better know the affect using all caps has on your readers.)

    lmmfao.

I'm sorry, but the 1.84 per gallon was under clinton. I was a road side tech buying my own gasoline during the bush admin when it hit $4 for the first time in history.

    Do try and keep up.

I understand completely that you have zero knowledge of economics or energy policy, but that's no excuse to force your ignorance on the rest of us.

Also, before you start, unemployment also increased MORE under bush than it has so far under Obama. So suck on that.

Are you serious or serious delusional? Why would anyone vote for a president that has done nothing but vacation, foment racism, apologize for America, try to destroy our Constitution and Christianity, sell out Israel, bow to Islam and use our young people as cannon fodder to promote the Muslim brotherhood.

Guess there is no accounting for lack of knowledge....educate yourself and stop doing "an Obama" and blaming other people for your short comings!

Considering I pay approximately 31% of my paycheck in taxes, if I were to invest in a company and hope to get back to $0 lost, the returns from that company would have to be $7 on a $1 investment. It can happen with a huge corporations, but VERY unlikely with a small business.
