The IACT will empower the UN to literally force the US government to: Enact internationally agreed licensing requirements for Americans. Confiscate and destroy unauthorized firearms of Americans while allowing the US government to keep theirs. Ban trade, sale and private ownership of semi-automatic guns. Create and mandate an international registry to organize an encompassing gun confiscation in America. Senator Jerry Moran said in a letter (signed by 44 other senators) to President Obama; warning him not to continue his push for ratification of the SAT. Moran wrote: Our country’s sovereignty and the Second Amendment rights of American citizens must not be infringed upon by the United Nations. Today, the Senate sends a powerful message to the Obama Administration: an Arms Trade Treaty that does not protect ownership of civilian firearms will fail in the Senate. Our firearm freedoms are not negotiable.

I will not register, license, turn in, surrender, report any of my guns. If they come to take what few I actually keep in my house the shooting will start. I don't care if they send in 100 swat and a tank and a helicopter in the air. I am prepared to die but I'm taking some with me. If I kill one and get killed I break even. If I can so much as put even a small scratch on the second one, I win. If I kill 2 then I have done twice the damage they can ever do to me. Bring it on boys if ya ain't scared.

Simply not true. No treaty can override the Constitution. The Small Arms Treaty doesn't override the second Amendment. This treaty applies only to the international trade in weapons. It has absolutely no effect on ownership..

Yup... far, far, far too many just don't understand what 'SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" means anymore, let alone the entire purpose of our Second Amendment and WHY we have that Right in the first place... very sad state of affairs.

0bama is biting off more than he can chew. If he thinks the Solyndra scandal, the Fast and Furious investigation, and the lawsuits over his eligibility have been hard to handle, just wait to see what happens if this is ratified. The guy is in over his head already. This will sink him and he could take Congress down with him.

This treaty is unconstitutional, plain and simple, and everyone knows it.
