Politics: it's not a game, exactly. But there are rules, and when you break them you are running….Politically Foul!
You know George Romney. You also know his son Mitt. Both were governors. Both wanted to be president. But only one is on the ticket this year. For President Obama, that can be a hard fact to remember.
While addressing a crowd at a New York fundraiser, Obama said, "Not going back to a set of policies that say you're on your own. And that's essentially the theory of the other side. George Romney -- wrong guy. Governor Romney."
So close Mr. President, you were just one generation off. Next time, check the roster.

The Black Dagger 2012/06/08 16:08:27I agree+8Considering George Romney is not actually running for president this year.
But if he did, I bet he could get 57 states. *snerk*

You know 0vomit is losing it big time when he deliberately or even unknowingly gets this wrong. Did he forget to pay attention to his Teleprompter? Maybe he can blame his campaign managers for rigging the machine so it read George instead of Mitt. After all, NOTHING IS EVER HIS FAULT!
Considering what the last several presidents have done, digging up a corpse and putting it in the Oval Office as chief of state doesn't seem like such an outrageous idea, does it?
Hell, yeah. If we can't have Ron Paul - who can fix this friggin' mess - let's have GEORGE Romney instead of either the Etch-a-Sketch or the Mombasa Messiah as President.
But if he did, I bet he could get 57 states. *snerk*
History is littered with political bloopers, some funny and some --- not so much.
Eg Reagan not knowing where Nicaragua was a little concerning when the contra rebel arms for drugs scandal was breaking over the head of Col. Oliver North...
And well let's face it Dubbya.... need I say any more?
Yeah, but he's SEASONED, he's RESTED, he's prepared to do the "pocket veto" thing.
Heck, don't the undertakers usually just sew all the pockets closed?
So Obama misspoke - he corrected himself. Everyone does that at one time or another. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike Obama. Misspeaking is not one of them. I remember how stupid I thought it was when liberals would jump on Bush anytime he misspoke. I refuse to do the same to Obama and be a hypocrite.
