The spin keeps on spinning. Now, it's Obama saying Romney will raise taxes on the middle class to keep the tax breaks going for the super wealthy. Sounds fishy to me. Is Obama right, or is it true that Mitt Romney is planning to raise taxes on the middle class?

ABCNEWS.GO.COM reports:
AKRON, Ohio – President Obama today pounced on a new report that found Mitt Romney’s economic plan would raise taxes on the majority of Americans and give tax breaks to the super wealthy, telling supporters in the battleground state of Ohio that his opponent wants them to pay more so that “people like him” can get a tax cut.

    Yes.

Romney knows that by pandering to the ultra-ultra-ultra-wealthy he will win the election.

They make up the majority of voters in swing states like Ohio, Indiana and New Mexico.

It was based on a very high level statement made about Romney's economic plan. He's provided no details yet, so they conducted a study using assumptions they came up with themselves.

Of course he doesn't admit what his plan will do... however:

It concluded that Romney’s proposed tax cuts – which include reducing all personal income taxes rates by 20 percent, eliminating the estate tax and zeroing-out taxes on investment income for couples earning less than $200,000 per year – would slash $360 billion in federal revenues in 2015 and will have to increases taxes on the middle class to pay for those losses..

ROMNEYS ECONOMIC PLAN IS CLEAR CUT... READ IT FOR YOURSELF

I read it and no where in there does he mention raising taxes for anybody.

It's kind of funny to hear the left whining about somebody raising taxes though when it's the Democrats that are constantly asking for new taxes and Obama has levied one of the biggest taxes in history via Obamacare.

Based on what, heresay and assumptions, the man isn't President, and may not be, and he's getting bashed about raising taxes. Unbelievable.
Maybe Obama who is the President should do something about the real problems in this Country, like illegal immigration, economy, jobs, or will he also start blaming Romney for that.. All smoke and mirrors show, and the left are buying the tickets...

Seriously, google it. It's by the independent, non-partisan Tax Policy Center. It's math. Or, at best, arithmetic.

As I've stated before, the study was based on assumptions made by the Tax Policy Center from a very high level statement Romney made. There are no details provided by Romney used in coming up with their numbers.

You lose any chance at credibility as soon as you pull out your race card. Obama's skin color doesn't have anything to do with my opinion of his policy. He was unqualified when he was elected and the last 3 1/2 years have proven that.

"Spreading the Wealth: How Obama is Robbing the Suburbs to Pay for the Cities - Stanley Kurtz

My new book, Spreading the Wealth: How Obama Is Robbing the Suburbs to Pay for the Cities, will be published on August 2. There I show how the suburbs are the target of Obama’s redistributive plans. Obama blames the suburbs for the plight of the cities. And while he took this view from his radical mentors, we are talking about a live issue. Although the public knows little about it, Obama actively coordinates his administration’s urban/suburban policy with his old community organizing mentors and colleagues.

Their plans for America are breathtakingly ambitious, and Obama has already laid the groundwork for a far-reaching social transformation in his second term. Should the president be reelected, the heretofore quiet alliance between Obama and his community organizing buddies is set to usher in a new phase of divisive class warfare between America’s suburbs and cities.

Suburbanites are the key swing constituency of the 2012 election. If word of Obama’s redistributive plans for the suburbs gets out, it just might have an impact on this election.

He would try. Having carefully read his proposals, my take is that poor and middle class folks would pay more, rich people would pay less.
