Obama won't support or speak about any major gun control measures till after the election.Then he will attempt to enforce the provisions of the U.N. Small Weapons Ban Treaty signed by Sec. of State Hillary Clinton.And justify the enforcement of the treaty.Using the excuse that the treaty is in force till the Senate decides to not ratified it!

He will again try to reinstate the assault weapons ban that expired in 2004 like he threatened he would. On February 25, 2009 newly sworn-in Attorney General Eric Holder also repeated the Obama administration's desire to reinstate the Federal "Assault Weapons" Ban.

When asked on Monday, August 6, 2012, whether Obama supported renewing the 1994-2004 federal ban of semi-automatic weapons for civilians, Carney responded, “He does support renewing the assault weapons ban,” and he added that “there has been reluctance by Congress to pass that renewal.”

It is sure to come up as a debate issue, and Obama would have to explain to his base why he did not follow though with his promise if he does not try to get the ban passed this year. He still has to satisfy his base. This issue is already front and center, so it will not help him to duck the issue before the election.

Fortunately it is a losing issue for him. After all, most of us "cling to guns or religion."

He will try before, during and after he LOSES! It's part of his big plan to disarm the citizens making them ripe for harvest!

The United States needs soul searching in regard to who they are going to elect as President. Hopefully, many will realize what a mistake it was to elect Obama.

The NRA has every thing to do with it. Just recently the NRA sent a letter to congressional members saying that anyone bringing gun control up will be targeted come reelection.

There will always be different opinions on any subject so this is no surprise. The question is how would you feel if any president decided to take control of the people....complete control!
This can only be if not one person, other than those elected, had any kind of firearm to protect themselves! For those naive' or unfamiliar with the Nazi horror camps, called concentration camps in WW11 they would, knowing the actual facts, have an "aha" moment and see why it's so crucial that Americans have the freedom to have arms to protect themselves. True not all murders are committed by criminals or by a mentally ill person, but the odds of a murder by a mentally stable person, versus a mentally ill or criminal are bigger than the odds of winning the lottery or Publishers Clearing House $5,000 a month for the rest of your life! Guns are and should be carefully sold to persons without a criminal record. Criminals will ALWAYS have guns, therefore good law abiding citizens must have a source of self protection. Guns are only used by good citizens in self defense or when an agreement of use is adhered to.
