Obama promised "the most transparent administration" ever - Gave us the most Opaque!

Ken 2013/01/04 00:32:27
President Obama promised "the most transparent administration ever!" -- So why are we getting the most opaque administration in memory, violating the law by failing to publish it's regulatory agenda? By law, the administration is required to publish biannually, in April and October, a "regulatory outlook" report regarding proposed regulations that will have a significant
economic impact. The last such report to be published by the Obama
administration was in January, 2012, a year ago. That is, until the
Friday afternoon before Christmas, when a "document dump" occurred, revealing proposed regulations that will have a financial impact of at least $100 million on the economy, and that is a very conservative estimate!

More and more in the media are
following Senator Inhofe's lead and putting the spotlight on the Obama
administration's failure to comply with the law by refusing to publish its
regulatory agenda. The latest to join the scrutiny is the National Journal, who
published an online story Friday night noting, "The administration has also failed to
release a required regulatory outlook document, describing its regulatory
agenda. Such documents are supposed to be published every six months; the most
recent one was published in January, making this the longest lag between
outlooks since the deadline schedule was created in 1994."
The article further notes that, "Sources
in regular contact with agencies say they've been told that new rules won't
resume until after the election, and many expect an avalanche of new major
rules shortly afterward."
As has been the case with every publication tracking
this growing story, the Obama administration refused to comment.

The following articles are
the latest from the media over the weekend examining the failure of the
administration to meet its obligation under the law, as well as speculation on
what a second term agenda might look like:

Obama Administration
Releases New Wave of Federal Regulations

By Dave
Boyer

Friday, December 21, 2012

After taking criticism for missing an October deadline [He actually missed the April deadline as well!], the Obama
administration Friday released its list of proposed government-wide
regulations that it plans to consider in the next year.

The administration put out its notice, called the unified
regulatory agenda, online around 3 p.m. on the Friday before
Christmas
, after most lawmakers had left town. The proposed rules
cover everything from power plant pollution to health-care standards
to workplace safety. Critics who accuse President Obama of being an
overzealous regulator said the timing of the announcement was no
accident.

"President Obama has earned a permanent spot on the
disclosure naughty list as his administration dumped their entire
regulatory agenda out to the public when everyone else was
celebrating the holidays,"
said Rick Manning, communications
director for Americans for Limited Government. "The late Friday
dump cannot be good news for those concerned about the regulatory
overreach that this administration has become renowned for."

The list includes 68 proposed rules by the Department of Labor,
covering issues ranging from pension benefit statements to
blood-borne pathogens to occupational exposure to Beryllium.

Obama is a liar who runs this country like he is a dictator, he trampled the Constitution, he takes instructions from his Muslim brotherhood friends, and his one and only agenda is to bring this country down. And the half of this country who voted for him will likely burn in hell with him and rightly so. I hope they understand what they're going to suffer when their Fuehrer turns on them.
