Obama outsourcing U.S. taxpayer grant money: like $141,450 to China to study pig manure, and $400,000 to Indonesia for their "Breathe Easy" program. Should Obama be stopped from giving away money we don't have to his foreign buddies?

You are trying to charge Bush for Obama's spending.

Bush was president in Jan 2001. His numbers ended Dec 31 2008 like all presidents before him.

The only rational reason for outsourcing research is because it doesn't exist in the U.S. If it doesn't exist perhaps it should (assess). In pretty much all cases, the U.S. is not the world's piggy bank.

In general, we should pull out of international organizations or only put in an equivalent amount to what other members are putting in. They're just using us and laughing at us for being so dumb.

There hasn't been such a big spender in the White House ever, but it's all part of the socialist's plot to destroy America. His mother was a fruitcake Commie, whose parents were Commies, whose lover, pornographic photographer, and possible father of Obama was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party, and quite possibly a Soviet agent. When his step-father began to praise America, fruitcake mother sends Obama back to her parents so that his communism isn't corrupted by pro-American thoughts. Who in their right mind could possibly think that Obama isn't on a course to destroy America and the Constitution with THAT kind of background?

$20 million in grants are small potatoes. And if these grants can benefit American people's health i am all for it. Grants like these are normal, even Bush did it.

I agree for the most part. Some research can't be done here. If the government were a company it would make sense to outsource where it is cheaper - which is why companies outsource. (Note: if the government outsources, there is little reason why people should complain that the government does.)

What I'm saying is the government does have a duty to limit costs but... outsourcing is a special case. Keep U.S. taxpayer money in U.S. investments, unless you are pulling in foreign technology and research (so what you pull in makes you better in the long run).
