Let's go through a little history, shall we?
The United States of America has been around for a measly 236 years. No nation in the history of the world has advanced as far as this one has in the short time that it has been in existence.
The country of Mongolia has been around for more than 2,000 years, yet it is no where near as wealthy or as powerful as the United States is.
The nation of Persia, or modern day Iran, has been around for well over 4,000 years, even longer than Mongolia. Yet, even though this country is wealthier than Mongolia, making the top 30 wealthiest nations in 2008, it is still nowhere near as wealthy or powerful as the United States
Great Britain has been around for over 2,000 years, making the top 10 wealthiest nations in the world at number 6 in 2008. In its 2,000 years of history, it has never become as wealthy or powerful as what the United States has achieved.

The United States of America has been around for a measly 236 years. No nation in the history of the world has advanced as far as this one has in the short time that it has been in existence.

Great Britain has been around for over 2,000 years, making the top 10 wealthiest nations in the world at number 6 in 2008. In its 2,000 years of history, it has never become as wealthy or powerful as what the United States has achieved.
The nation of India has been around for well over 4,000 years, yet it has never achieved the major wealth and power the United States did. It ranked among the top 15 wealthiest nations in 2008.
The country of Japan has been around for several thousand years, and only now is it closing the gap of wealth with the United States. It is also nowhere near as powerful as the this country has achieved.
The Egyptian civilization has been around for over 4,000 years, and today, it only ranks as number 50 in the top 50 wealthiest nations in 2008.
And last but not least, the mighty nation of China has been around for well over 4,000 years, but in that 4,000 years it has never achieved the wealth and power the United States enjoys today. Though, many argue that this will be changing within the next decade, maybe 2.
In closing, there are several other nations that have been around for thousands of years, and while this list most certainly does not cover all nations several thousands of years old, it gets my point across.
These countries have been around for thousands of years, and in those thousands of years of existence, they have never experienced the unprecedented wealth and power that the United States holds today. Yet, in its short 236 years of existence, the United States of America has become the world's most powerful nation in every single definition, and has become the world's wealthiest nation, enjoying unprecedented wealth.
Obviously, to experience such an unprecedented status in such a short amount of time, the United States had to have done something right, that nearly every single nation has never tried before.
Maybe, just maybe, I don't want to sound to radical or ridiculous for suggesting such an idea, but just maybe this is because of our founding ideals of limited government, fiscal responsibility, individual rights, popular sovereignty, the free enterprise system are what lead to it.
As opposed to what the Socialist-in-Chief has in store for us should he win a 2nd term, which history has also clearly demonstrated, leads to ruin, poverty, inequality and injustice.
