LIGNET, a Washington, D.C., based intelligence service, is reporting Iran is likely to target major American infrastructure systems, including the U.S. power grid and other sensitive areas of the economy.
The report suggests that such a “cyber” attack would inflict serious damage to the U.S. homeland by exploiting and exposing serious Internet security vulnerabilities.
If so, all electronic information, financial and otherwise, could be unavailable indefinitely. Imagine the complete feeling of helplessness and utter panic of not having power or access to your bank accounts!
