After almost (3) years of no Congressional budget resulting in a Bond downgrade of U.S. Treasuries, Obama will deliver his 'sad-state-of-the-nation' campaign speech designed to blame Republicans in Congress.

The democrats did not even offer a budget for Congress to consider last year! The Republicans put forth a budget for consideration but we know what democrats did... absolutely nothing!

So, obama you can play the blame game but you can't ignore the facts!

"This will mark the third time in four years the president has missed his statutory requirement to present a budget on time, while trillion-dollar budget deficits continue to mount," Mr. Ryan, Wisconsin Republican, said.

Tuesday, when Mr. Obama delivers his State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress, also marks the 1,000th day since Congress passed a budget.

House Republicans last year powered a budget through their chamber, but Senate Democrats never put one on their chamber's floor. The last budget that passed was in 2009, which set the stage for the health care bill's passage in early 2010.

Personally, I see this as a government responsibilty. If Obama cannot come up with a budget, that seems to me to be a direct contravention of his responsibilities and he should be removed. Congress, being a joint venture, should be able to fix this and if not able, should also be removed. Perhaps if ALL concerned were fined daily until they fix the problem, it might get fixed.

Another cut & paste job from the WashingtonSlimes. A saner look at the budget says neither party produced a passable budget. The Dems ran their progressive House Caucus budget to the Senate before passing it and found it would never get Senate approval, passed a CR instead. The GOP did not test the waters first, passed their shift more income to the top budget and had the Senate vote to decline to debate it.

For those not brainwashed by conservative media, the big WH deal that Boehner agreed to was a win for the GOP with 3.3 trillion in spending cuts, having the Dems compromise on cutting entitlements for 800 billion in revenue, a 4-1 spending cut to revenue ratio, reducing the debt by 4 trillion. Norquist pledged members of the GOP could not accept a good deal for them, instead passed less than a trillion in spending cuts, losing AAA with S&P.; You are entitled to your own opinion (budget not passed BS), but not your own facts. Fact is the Ryan budget did not cut anything, not even the less than a trillion the first 3 years. Fact is S&P; in April said 4 trillion in long term cuts or a credit downgrade is coming.

as both sides are noting, if we can't get one budget in a year, who would believe anything beyond the second year of ANY budget? maybe you would, but not me.

Dingy Harry Reid last allowed a budget to come to the floor and was passed in May 2009. We have since operated on continuing resolutions. Like so much of everything the "Sit On Their Hands" Senate Democrats have done, they have aided in the chaos that have held this country back in the creation of jobs and allowing Barry to carry a credit card he thinks Daddy will payoff. Like any other spoiled college kid, he has no financial responsibility and that is being allowed by the Senate democrats. Let us not forget the 15 jobs bills the house has sent to the senate that Dingy Harry won't even schedule for debate on the floor.

Name one jobs bill, it does not exist in the congressional record. Regulations (compliance is a 3% cost) are not stopping expansion investment, lack of demand is doing it. The GOP says increase investment income, cut demand in their proposals. Newsflash since 2008 1.6 trillion sitting on balance sheets became 2 trillion waiting for demand. There is no lack of investment income.

P.S. the senate voted, repeat voted, not to debate the Ryan budget. Over 400 Pelosi House bills never got a chance to come to the floor for debate, let alone a vote. The party of no is well deserved as that is more than the previous 30 years combined.

Try reading the constitution, all budgets must begin in the House of Representatives. Amazing how misinformed conservatives post lies. The Senate can pass it as is or mark it up and send it back to the House for approval.
