We still are paying for Bush's wars, his tax breaks for billionaires, his unfunded Medicare Part D, where exactly were you 5 years ago?
  • den Idiot r... 2012/02/28 11:49:28

the wars were promoted by both parties- Bush did not bypass congress like obama does and everyone pays too much tax except the poor which pay nothing

They are bushs doing, no one else is to blame.

Personal responsibility my butt, nothing is bush's fault to repubes, always looking to blame someone else for his screwups.

I don't feel nothing is Bushes fault but the wars were a result of CIA & other intelligence reports- a lot of those reporting were Clinton apointees as well as repubs- the housing dusaster was Cintons forcing loans and stupid people buying things, houses , they cannot afford- I do not feel Bush was the best president in the world but he is plainly blamed with a lot of things where he was not at fault- he was blamed for raising the deficit-now look.

Bush aims to boost minority home ownership
    FREDDIE MAC
    June 17, 2002
President Bush touted his goal Monday of boosting minority home ownership by 5.5 million before the end of the decade through grants to low-income families and credits to developers.

"Too many American families, too many minorities, do not own a home. There is a home ownership gap in America. The difference between African-American and Hispanic home ownership is too big," Bush told a crowd at St. Paul AME Church in Atlanta.

Citing data he used Saturday in his weekly radio address, Bush said that while nearly three-quarters of white Americans own their homes, less than half of African-Americans and Hispanic-Americans are homeowners

Builders to fight Bush's low-income plan

Groups ask HUD to rethink plan that would increase financing of homes to low-income people.
    June 17, 2004: 12:24 PM EDT

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Home builders, realtors and others are preparing to fight a Bush administration plan that would require Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to increase financing of homes for low-income people, a home builder group said Thursday.

The National Association of Home Builders, along with the National Association of Realtors and the Mortgage Bankers Association, are drafting a letter to Alphonso Jackson, secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), arguing that middle-income home buyers are the ones that will get hurt by the proposed plan, the NAHB told CNN/Money.

In April, the HUD proposed new rules that would raise the percentage of loans bought by the two government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) that finance borrowers whose incomes are at or below the median for their area, according to the Wall Street Journal .

But the groups will warn in the letter that the proposed rules requiring the two GSEs to finance more "affordable housing" may have "unintended consequences," hurting some poor and middle-income people struggling to afford houses, the Journal said.

    1. Statement without basis?
    2. Simply repeal the Bush tax cuts and the corporate welfare loopholes and we're back to Clinton surpluses.

clinton never really had any surplus that is why one month after Bush got in before he could craft any legislation the libs started complaining about the deficit- he did not pay everything and he did not pay on the debt-just passed it to Bush- they are both guilty but obama is super guilty as he has done a lot to destroy our jobs while sending money to develop central Africa ,soros developing oil in Brazil and building infastracture in Iraq and Afghanistan-thewn complaining he needs to raise taxes to buikld roads here

America is borrowing and printing like crazy and we might as well be having a party and huge cash bonfire for all the good it is doing us. This trip down the economic drain will not stop unless government quits robbing the private sector to pay for its top down bureautopian visions of chasing sunshine, windmills and free lollipops for all.

Since March 1962, the debt ceiling has been raised 74 times, according to the Congressional Research Service. Ten of those times have occurred since 2001. Our elected "servants" use other peoples money (ours) like a crack head chasing their next high.

The goal is a third world "paradise" for all of us...

you know first of all i would like to see the government take a cut on their overpriced salaries. no it's always the little working man who has to suffer. obama is nothing more than a ding bat and this shows more every day. the idiot vetoes anything that may possibly make life just a shred easier for us. he's going to keep running us into the ground until he is voted out and he WILL be. we might as well just sell the country to china, they practically own us already. the founding fathers are officially turning over in their graves. disappointed forefathers at obama

I don't know about anyone else, but my husband and I have worked hard to get out of debt and we now only owe on our mortgage. We bought the end of 2006, made sure we could afford our monthly payments (in other words did not borrow any where near what the bank pre-approved us for) and paid 20% down. We actually ended up borrowing only 1/3 of what we were pre-approved for.

Our government needs to trim its size and spending big time!

I don't even know why people refer to the government spending "our money" (read: the taxpayers' money) -- the only thing the taxpayers' money gets spent on, it seems, is paying down the interest on the money we *borrow* to actually finance the government! (Which isn't working anyway, considering we're $14 trillion in debt - and counting.)
