Citing a General Service Administration (GSA) request for proposal (RFP), Steve McGough of RadioViceOnline.com reports that DHS is asking for the 7,000 “select-fire” firearms because they are “suitable for personal defense use in close quarters.” The term select-fire means the weapon can be both semi-automatic and automatic. Civilians are prohibited from obtaining these kinds of weapons

Obama is not a proud shooter.

He does not respect the second amendment.

The 2nd amendment to the bill of rights guarantees the right of the people to possess, carry, and use, weapons for killing people, because that right is necessary to the security of a free state. Their weapons must not only be capable of killing people, but so good at it, that the security of a free state can be maintained.

Obama seems to forget that only the people have a constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms - not the government's army, not the government's attempt at a militia, and not the government's police force. THE PEOPLE have a right. That's it!

Just to be fair and give the benefit of doubt lets place this into context.

I do believe like always he is only saying for political advantages because he now see's how volatile his entire gun control stance has become, which i find amazing considering he is supposed to be so damn smart, President Obama must be the Smartest stupid person i have ever seen, probably because he surrounds himself with Progressive YES MEN but that is his fault as well.

Bush we knew was a C student at best and yes he made a lot of stupid comments which kept the late night comedians going for 8 years but Obama with all his touted credits as editor of Harvard law review, Constitutional Lawyer, Law Professor, winner of the Nobel Peace price before he even did anything, Self appointed Appeaser to the world for American exceptionalism, yet he still makes some very stupid political moves.

I remember when Obama was going to be the Great Unifier that brings this country together as one, but America is more divided politically socially economically and racially then ever before in my lifetime.

Not sure what your view of stupid is but to me that seems rather Stupid.

Have you ever known a politician who at one time or another hasnt made stupid political moves, usually when it comes to a President its not because they are stupid but in my view more that they are so removed from reality of the people they govern.

Do you really blame Obama for those divides... Personally I think they have been a long time coming, always simmering under the surface.Obama's election brought them to the surface but I dont really think thats a bad thing, it needed to happen, Some of the issues we have been dancing around for years, its time we met them head on.

They are all puppets anymore Romney wouldn't have been any better, do i blame Obama The President for things? your damn right i do that seem to be the real job of the president anymore is to take the blame regardless of what the problem is every President since Ford has done it in our day of modern media with 24 hour news cycles it is pretty well impossible for things to get swept under the rug anymore every word action and facial expression is documented and recorded and and when the President makes ignorant uninformed off the cuff comments like calling a police officer doing his job stupid just because the officer is white and Obama knows the professor who happens to be black without knowing the professor was being irrational and aggressive it makes news it heats up racial tensions, when making ignorant comments like if i had a son he would look a lot like Trevon Martin well that heats up racial tensions and what exactly was he trying to say anyway his son would have looked black? or is he implying that all young black men look the same? seem kind of racist to me doesn't it sad thing is his list just goes on and on and while American family's are starving and being evicted from homes losing unemployment cant find work we turn on the TV for Details of the Obama's latest DATE...

Its not like he's ever lied to pretend to oppose a bill before. He totally did not sign the NDAA on New Years eve while no one was paying attention after promising to refuse to sign it over concerns of indefinite detention.

You're simply going to have to go with the common definition at the time. But we know the intent. They wanted the people to be as well armed as the military. So by that concept, I have no problem with you owning bombs. You could own a tank, a predator drone, or a fully automatic antimatter bomb gun that shoots them off at 100 bombs a second. Its all really none of my business.

The only thing that is my or anyone else's business is if you use those to violate someone else's rights.
