With the advent of a new Socialist President winning recent elections in France, the scope of economic polices in the European nation were expected to change after several years of Sarkozy conservatism. And like the American tradition of a new President being given extra leeway to make policy in their first hundred days, French President Francois Hollande is quickly showing his monetary intentions as he joins President Obama in wanting to impose massive taxes on the rich to pay for budgetary gaps, and government social programs.

In a new report on July 3, French officials laid out a new tax structure on the wealthy, with those making over $1 million euro's per year being taxed at a rate of 75% on their income.
