Barack Obama held a fund-raiser designed for younger supporters, each of whom paid $51 to attend. The event took place at the Bridgeport Arts Center, a collection of studio and gallery space south of Chicago’s downtown. 500 admission tickets were purchased out of the 850 expected to fill the 1,000 capacity venue.

Meanwhile… Thousands turned out for the Romney-Ryan event in Manassus, Virginia yesterday.

Im surprised they didn't pay them one hundred dollars to come to the fundraiser to play for the cameras look how they love me.I bet they had everybody slide down so they could angle camera to make it look full of people.I wonder if he brought the same people when he starts his talk always laugh on key they so well rehearsed?

Hmm... a murder rate of 20 per 100,000 annually. That means in an 80 year lifespan, you have a 1.6% chance of being murdered somewhere along the way.

Of course, if you are young and live in a high-crime area, your chances are much higher than that, maybe by a factor of 10.

Way to go Rahm. Let's hear it for Chicago values.
