If Obama is irresponsible, and unpatriotic for his part of the debt, then are the Republican administrations irresponsible and unpatriotic for their part of the debt??? Hmmmm very quiet there!!

He did what he condemned Bush for doing, and he did even more of it, with less time in office.

I'm so sick of hearing his propaganda on all the left media! Brainwashing the public.

At least now we can hear the Republican Convention on TV-finally-& hear people with their heads screwed on straight, who can help turn our country around, back to being the great nation we USED to be!

Obama's record shows he's incapable of doing anything to bring better change.

What a crock. I'm voting for Romney!

Most of that debt was financing an unnecessary war that should never have been started.

Oh my! you speak of heresy! How dare you speak the truth and draw back the curtain exposing the little man behind it. And then he (Bush) walks away from the mess doing an Alfred E Newman. What? me worry? Unnecessary war? More like SHAM war. (no WMDs) It's a shame his father made it through WWII alive. Wanna know how I really feel about that jackoff? LOL!

On March 16, 2006, when Obama was a senator, he voted against raising the debt ceiling. His reason for doing so, is quoted below:

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.” …….. Senator Barack Obama

By his own definition, his fiscal policies are indicative of a "failure of leadership" and, as such, could be termed irresponsible.

Total LIE !! Bush NEVER included the cost of the two wars in the budget because he never wanted Americans to know we were paying a billion a month for Iraq alone. The Republicans knew this and thought it was best as well. How did they down play those wars? Caskets arriving daily at Dover were not allowed to be seen by the public. No gross war photos of Americans blown to bits allowed. Out of sight, out of mind. Meanwhile the interest kept mounting and mounting and no Republican cared until...

Enter Obama. All of a sudden, Obama is responsble for the mounting and incredible war debt but for every other G-damn Republican failure they added to the debt. The wildly expensive Medicare Part D... far more expensive than Obama's stimulis? That was put on the tab. The disastrous No Child Left Behind? On the tab. GWB's Stimulis # 1
( checks were in the mail)? Put on the tab. Meanwhile the Pentagon was getting whatever the hell it wanted. Please Republicans , tell us why we need very expensive amphibious to land vehicles in a desert ? All on the taxpayer tab.

Republicans lie like a cheap rug. There is nothing too low for them.

Thanks ! From the moment Obama took the oath of office, the Republicans have tried to pin every spending frenzy they had on him. They lie and lie and lie, as though they never treated Americans as a giant ATM. They ran up a war deficit that we will never be able to correct.

Meanwhile, what they want is to have the power again... to run up an even bigger deficit and then see... " Look , what Obama did !"

    a billion a month . . . 12 billion a year . . . 100 billion in 8 years = wanton spending.

    compared to

5,300 billion in three years = its Bush's fault.

Obama has spent less than the republicans in his own term. The Bush Tax Cuts they forced him to extend cost over a trillion a pop (more than stimulus ARRA). Since 40% of the deficit is caused by medicare/medicaid and 40% by military spending, the bulk of the deficit hike is not caused by Obama Acts of Congress.

To blame the massive debt on President Obama is not only disingenuous, but out right absurd. When President Obama took office, the INTEREST on the $10.6 TRILLION debt was more than a billion dollars a day. In FY2009 alone, $383 billions was added to the debt in interest. In 2010, it was $414 billions, and in 2011 it was $454 billions, and so far in 2012 there has been $383 billions added to the debt in interest. That's over $1.6 trillions added to the debt in interest since President Obama took office. President Obama didn't cause the debt, or the interest added to it. He didn't start the two wars that added another trillion dollars to the debt. He didn't cause the recession or the need for TARP and bailouts, which also added to the debt. Government spending increases HAS DECLINED under President Obama.
"2000 to 2008, under President Bush, Federal spending rose by $1.3 trillion, from $1.9 trillion a year to $3.2 trillion a year.
From 2009 to 2011, meanwhile, under President Obama, federal spending has risen by $600 billion, from $3.2 trillion a year to $3.8 trillion a year. It has also now begun to decline.
In other words, federal government spending under President Bush increased 2X as much as it has under President Obama.
