Obama Has 21 Days to Drop Biden: Would Dumping Biden Signal Desperation?

President Obama has a lot of pressure to dump Vice President Joe Biden from the 2012 election campaign. Biden would not likely run for president in 2016 at the age of 73. Biden, a former Senator from Delaware, doesn't help with voters in the swing states like Florida, Virginia, Ohio or Pennsylvania. And Biden continues to bore people except with his gaffes ("20th Century") or outlandish rhetoric (accusing Republicans of enslaving people).

President Obama could shake things up by replacing Biden with Secretary Hillary Clinton as his vice president on his 2012 re-election ticket. Some pundits argue that would signal desperation by the Obama 2012 campaign because it would look as if Obama made a bad choice in picking Biden in 2008. Dumping Biden would only happen in desperation.

Then again, maybe President Obama would dump Biden for a candidate like Hillary Clinton because even Biden considers her more qualified for vice president (watch the video).

I would say no...but Obama IS feeling the squeeze. His approval ratings are hovering on the low side. The press can fluff them only so far.
I can tell you that if Hillary gets VP, Obama is a dead man. She'll do ANYTHING to be president!
As far as Hillary or Joe being president? Disaster either way. Just a different kind of disaster with each one.

Or it could be as simple as:
Biden, 73, would like to retire and enjoy his golden years. I mean he is 73. How many of you plan to continue working when your 73? Now would be a good time to get out instead of quit his job like Govenor Palin did.

Yes. Dumping Biden would show Obama admin desperation. Since Obama already has his second term in the bag, there's no need to go there.

I'm always right; I was right about Obama winning the Presidency. I was right about health care reform making it through Congress. I was right about ACA making it past Congress. I was right about the Republicans receiving a major defeat following the Iraq War. I am just a master at prognostication. It's in the bag,

Were you also right about the Historic Unprecedented Shellacking the Dems took in the 2010 Elections because of those very fiascoes you are touting.as all knowing prognostications ?

I predicted there would be a democratic loss in 2010 given 1) every single President (with the exception of 1 LOST seats in the mids), 2) the economy didn't improve fast enough so the dems would take the heat, and 3) Obama didn't run in 2010. The master prognosticator was correct about 2010 as well.

And while you're at it tell all of them Black people (who you say are all on welfare) that they cannot vote. LOLOLOL And did I mention LABOR in all of the swing states?

Sorry, girlie. Most Americans feel a) that Obama is more likeable than Romney, b) Obama understands them better than Romney does, and c) Obama, more than Romney, have their best interests at heart. Conservatives want to force rape victims to undergo vaginal probing. NOTHING is more stupid or heartless. Nice try though.

I mean the guy has'nt gotten any stupider in the 4 years he's been the VP! I do find it funny how they pick on Ryan and his plan (Um he's running for the VP not the President) Yet they seem to give Biden a free ticket to Disney world and don't question anything????In the event of an emergency who would you rather see at the helm Biden or Ryan nuff said.

Right wingers are idiots and prove it daily. The "job" of any VP is to attend state furnerals that the president doesn't want to and a rare tie breaking vote if the Senate gets deadlocked. Aside from that any VP is nothing more than a yes man for the president and does his bidding.

I have always wondered what it was, exactly, that a Vice President actually does, besides the Senate thing...maybe a Senatorial deal-maker/cat herder, as a few observant SodaHeads have called it? That's a thankless job if there ever was one...Used car salesman skills would be an asset, along with an office full comfortable seating, and endless wet bar, cuban cigars and 'other entertainments'?

Its funny when you think about it. That's something the founding fathers kind of goofed up on. Unlike a large corporation where's there's typically dozens of vice presidents each in charge of some geographical area or function, the VP of the United States really has nothing specific to do.

I guess you need somebody to be there is case something happens to the president, but unless that's called for its got to be one of the best paying do-nothing $208,100 a year jobs there is. LOL! Plus he gets a mansion to live in, secret service protection, a fat pension and almost unlimited flight time on government aircraft.

This is the VP public housing, not bad. ;-)

Throwing people under the bus to win has always been one of his main strategies to win. Just look at all of his former friends and allies he disowned in the first election.
Besides, dumping an idiot like Biden is probably the smart thing to do.
