I expected him to do it months ago. The later he waits now, the more desperate it seems to appear. Hillary can run in 2016 anyway and she will have less chance to get the nomination then if she loses on the ticket this time. I don't think she'll do it now.

If Hillary Clinton replaces Joe Biden it will have nothing to do with his recent gaffes. If it happens, as I believe it might, it was a done deal months ago - possibly as long as two years ago. Keep in mind, Obama wanted Hillary in the VP spot in 2008, but his staff and his wife thought it was a bad idea coming off a bruising primary campaign. Besides, at the time, there was a belief that Bill Clinton would exert too much influence on policies, and make Obama look weak.

Hillary has proven to be a good soldier, respectful of Obama's role as Chief Executive and Commander-in-Chief. By all accounts they have a good working relationship

That said: Hillary would be sacrificing her future career if she took the VP spot. This will be a tough election, and even if the Democrats kept the White House they would be at the mercy of a strong, partisan, Republican congress. It would be difficult to accomplish mush under those conditions..
