President Obama has a lot of pressure to dump Vice President Joe Biden from the 2012 election campaign. Biden would not likely run for president in 2016 at the age of 73. Biden, a former Senator from Delaware, doesn't help with voters in the swing states like Florida, Virginia, Ohio or Pennsylvania. And Biden continues to bore people except with his gaffes ("20th Century") or outlandish rhetoric (accusing Republicans of enslaving people).
President Obama could shake things up by replacing Biden with Secretary Hillary Clinton as his vice president on his 2012 re-election ticket. Some pundits argue that would signal desperation by the Obama 2012 campaign because it would look as if Obama made a bad choice in picking Biden in 2008. Dumping Biden would only happen in desperation.
Then again, maybe President Obama would dump Biden for a candidate like Hillary Clinton because even Biden considers her more qualified for vice president (watch the video).

Brilliant!!!
Brilliant!!!
Good 'Ol Plugs was the one of the handfull of Dumbass Senators, who way back in the 1970s actually voted AGAINST the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, an economic lifeline that would ultimately result in thousands of American jobs, 15 billion barrels of oil pumped into the economy to date, and a huge chunk of domestic energy production.
Google it and confirm this for yourself. Ol' Foot-n-Mouth Biden still believes in his lame tree hugging anti-energy crap.
With all of Jumpin' Joe Biden's recent discussions of energy, I've realized that he has not changed one bit.
He still seemed opposed to sensible innovations, from clean coal to nuclear energy to responsible new directional drilling techniques in places like ANWR.
On one issue after another, Obama's VP is loaded with "government experience" but still one of the dumbest senators ever to get elected to that esteemed body. He seems to have no understanding of logical steps we could take to safely capitalize on American energy and our natural resources.

Assuming that Hilary is/was not a better pick, then it would be a foolish act to choose her for VP and a smart move to stick with Biden.
Fact is, whether or not Obama is winning, if one VP candidate is better than the other, it is a smart move to go with that one. If neither is better, then it would be an act of desperation if he is losing and switches for the simple reason of trying something new. If he is winning and makes the switch for the same lack of reason, then it is being nonchalant with people's careers and lives.
In short, if one is clearly better than the other, choosing the better candidate is a smart move, regardless if he is winning or losing. If one is not clearly better than the other, changing candidates is not a good move, regardless if he is winning or losing.
Only one of these four conditions could even be interpreted as an act of desperation, and I doubt it's going to happen.
Based on that, I'm willing to bet your glass is half empty.
But as to Vice President Biden, the President is not under any pressure to replace him. He has been an effective spokesman for the Administration and the thought of him tearing Paul Ryan to shreds in a debate is, I must admit, an exciting prospect. And THAT would be a B.F.D.
