He didn't get heckled. He got peppered with legitimate questions. The media slings questions at Romney and other politicians all the freakin' time. Why is it disrespectful to do the same to Obama. He, too, is a candidate for president - not a bloody king. Obama is thin skinned and much too full of himself.
He was rudely yelled at while he was talking. He acknowledged that he would take questions after he finished speaking. Heckling is when you do not allow the speaker the freedom to finish his speech. He is the President and for all purposes he invited the press to his and the people's house. Very rude to interrupt him and not let him finish what he was saying. I have never seen a President so ill used in the USA. Even a member of congress felt free to yell, "You lie" in the middle of a major address to the nation and the government. If America does not have a Queen then you must treat the commander with dignity. Can you imagine someone screaming at the Queen while she is addressing Parliament? I say, it is just not done old chap.
We don't have royalty in this country, GoCart. All of our elected officials should be treated with equal dignity and respect. The congressman was out of line during the state of the union speech, but shouting questions at elected officials at a press conference is not heckling. If that was the case Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, John Boehner, etc. gets heckled all the time. Why should there be an exception for any other elected official?
