First of all, elective hormonal injection are NOT necessary medical care. Secondly, they are not entitled to our constitutional rights.

I believe that you are mistaken when you refer to hormone therapy as elective. Moreover, hormone therapy is not always performed by injection, but often is administered by pills. In any case, for some transgender persons, hormone therapy is necessary medical care.

These standards apply to people who have been incarcerated by our government before there has been any finding that they are here illegally. When they are found to be here illegally, they are deported.

NO! Not "people." CITIZENS only are the "We the People."

Some provisions in the United States Constitution protect "persons" as opposed to "citizens". You may not like that, but that is what the Constitution says, and that is how it has been interpreted.

Illegals are NOT the "We the People" intended by our Constitution, and the constitutions of Mexico, etc. have no jurisdiction here. Ergo, they are NOT constitutionally entitled to Due Process or any other constitutional rights, only SUMMARY JUSTICE, same as military tribunals dispense to captured enemies.

The people subject to these policies include people who have not been determined to be illegal aliens.

Dear , if your eyes were open, you would be answering in quite another manner! His point is that America is becoming like Britain-------overrun with people who didn't see what was happening because of foolish , progressive ideas. You must be one of those who is willing to be enslaved. Well, most Americans are Not so willing!

No, darling. I just believe, as most civilized people do, that, if our government incarcerates someone, and thereby prevents that person from accessing health care on his or her own, our government has a moral and legal duty to provide that person with health care.

Nope. Not "someone." Someone lumps together each and every human on the planet. OUR Constitution applies only to "We the People," and that means CITIZENS. Not foreign nationals.

Sir, you are mistaken. Some provisions of the Constitution apply to "persons" as opposed to "citizens". You may not like it, but that is how the Constitution is written, and how it has been interpreted.

The operative word here is necessary., certainly not cosmetic!. Who the heck Needs transgender operations? That sort of thing comes under like to have , not Must have!
  • Joanie doofieg... 2012/03/07 21:34:50 (edited)
    Joanie
No one is talking about transgender operations. What is referenced here is hormone therapy. Hormone therapy is not a cosmetic treatment for transgender people. There can be medical consequences making a person who is on hormone therapy stop his or her therapy cold turkey.

I am sorry. If you are arrested on suspicion of being an illegal immigrant, and you are incarcerated prior to trial, and you get sick, would you want the jail to provide you with a doctor?

SUMMARY JUSTICE requires only a deposition supported by factual proof that a person held is a foreign national.

If it were incarcerated U.S. citizens, there is no constitutional right to hormone injection therapy. But we're talking about FOREIGN NATIONALS here illegally, who are NOT the "We the People"intended by our Constitution, and the constitutions of Mexico, etc. have no jurisdiction here.

Accordingly, they have no constitutional rights whatsoever, let alone a right our own citizens aren't entitled to.
  • Joanie tncdel 2012/03/07 23:45:46
    Joanie
I believe that you are wrong on both points. Incarcerated U.S. citizens, do, indeed, have a right to hormone therapy if they are transgender and such treatment is deemed medically necessary by a physician. And people subject to these new standards include suspected illegal aliens, i.e., people who have been arrested on suspicion of being here illegally, but who have not yet gone to trial--in other words, people who have not yet been determined to be illegal aliens.

This is yet another example of how Obama wants to give illegals even more than our own citizens get. Same as the SCHEME Act he and Harry Reid have been trying to shove down our throats to give college to illegals at taxpayer expense.
