Obama Freezes White House Salaries: Was President Barack Obama's Idea Fair?

President Barack Obama is freezing the salaries of about a hundred White House employees who make over $100,000 a year. The pay freeze will keep those aides' salaries at their current levels. Those employees include the high-profile jobs of White House chief of staff, national security adviser and press secretary.

In a statement, Obama said "families are tightening their belts, and so should Washington."

    I think he is still overpaying the White House staff. I would pay them mininum wage. They should have to work for tips.

    An effing anti american toad. His wife hired 22 assistants, full time wheras other first ladies had ONE. Obummer has more then any president in history and now he acts like he did soemthing after hiring EVERY PERSON on his friends list? Gimme a break. Even their dog gets a paycheck.

    I think Barack Obama is going to do the best that can be done under the circumstances with support from his staff and the people of America. America's financial break down or the misdirected wars belongs to those who had watch before him, nonetheless, like a doctor he will take meaningful steps to cure America's many ills.

    A salary freeze is a great idea in this economy.

    But I think he should also take a pay cut what does he need with all the money he makes. His housing is paid for and he doesn't have any household bills. So why not cut his salary and give the money back to the US treasury.
