This country is, or has become a country of sale outs, hiding behind words like, in our best interest to kill millions of people. It hasn't ceased to amaze me over the past decade or so just how hateful so many republicans (neo-cons) have become. Quite the opposite really from all that is supposed to be good in mankind. Rude, mean, small-minded, and seemingly unknowledgeable about the issues. Such is life, I suppose, but I do believe that our Founding Fathers would be truly shocked.

Just as calling a black person a n**ger is offensive and racist, so is this cartoon. It recalls a historical stereotype used to denigrate blacks, not unlike "watermelon" cartoons. To say that it's not racist but, rather, that "the interpretation is" makes about as much sense as saying "oh I didn't mean anything by calling the President a n**ger... the fact that you interpreted it as bad is your problem". Yeah, riiiiiiiight.

I think that it was an irresponsible editorial. For those who would compare this to the comparison of Bush to a Chimp; in those caricatures the chimp was not being shot to death! If those in power abuse their rights, the they should be taken away, at least temporarily. Kind of like a "time out". for two year olds. Who do you think got us in this mess? Obama just became President and suddenly you accuse him of wronging this country. And obviously the free market isn't working. Nationalize the problem banks for a short term and look at how to fairly fix the market.
