Obama cancels election-season meeting with Egyptian Islamist Morsi

I am curious why the right questions this. I thought they hated the Muslim Brotherhood with all their might. Why would conservatives complain about this at all?

And as for liberals, why would they complain? Obama has had a strong foreign policy, so if he thinks it bad to meet Morsi now, why be critical?

I do wonder how U.S.-Egypt relations will play out, now that we no longer have a puppet in power there... but why second-guess EVERY decision the president makes about Egypt? Who here REALLY thinks that they PERSONALLY could do things better?

If so, be very specific about what you would do, and how that would IMPROVE relations with Egypt in the long run. Be realistic in your assessment.

What is known as election etiquette is that unless Obama meets with world leaders then the candidate for president, Mitt Romney cannot. Of course we know that if Obama was the candidate he would screw the etiquette and do what he wanted. This way there can be no foreign policy at the top of the list and BHO and his team knows this. If BHO had a meeting and had pictures made with all the heads of state, then Romney could also and BHO wants to make sure that Romney is not seen with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and spoil his votes from the Jews. Actually I am beginning to wonder about the American Jews intelligence these days.

Obama's handler's (David Axelrod, David Plouffe, Robert Gibbs, Valerie Jarrett, etc.), are shrewd campaigners. It does not serve their interest to meet with any foreign leaders from the Middle East at this time.

They are well aware that the media have their back and will provide cover for them. As you might have already observed, the media has turned their guns on Hillary Clinton in order to shield Obama from any Middle-East criticism.

Of course he did...he didn't want Americans to know his true feeling for Morsi & his beliefs..that would cost him votes. Besides, now he'll have a "legitimite" reason not to meet with Bibi.

Obama is a stupid loser in so many ways. I guess he just like the Whoopie cushion style of interview. The kind where they fawn all over him and he just has to smile and show how cool he is.

If you're listening Lord, please don't let OZbama get re-elected.

For the sake of all Americans that don't realize what he is doing to America and all of our futures.

Lets hope he has a diplomatic rather than political reason.

How would it look if he meets with an Islamist president but shuns the Israeli president?
This way it only looks like he's clueless how to get out of the mess he got himself in to.
