Obama Campaign Draws Support From Shady Characters

The Nation’s top leaders recently made appearances with Senator Al Franken and NBA star Carmello Anthony.
Last week, Biden shared the stage with Franken, a former “Saturday Night Live” writer who joked about raping a reporter.
“I give pills to Lesley Stahl. Then, when Lesley’s passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her,” joked Franken, as reported by New York magazine in 1995. “When she passes out, I put her in various positions and take pictures of her.”
Anthony appeared at the “Obama Classic,” a fundraising event attended by some of the biggest names in basketball. In 2004, Anthony was seen in a DVD titled “Stop Snitchin” alongside drug dealers who threatened that anyone who interfered with their enterprise would “get a hole in his head.”
