President Obama hired Van Jones to the White House Council on Environmental Quality (aka Green Energy Tzar) in March of 2009. Jones resigned in September 2009 after allegations of ties to Marxist and 9/11 Truther organizations. Van Jones then co-founded non-profit organizations related to green energy.
Van Jones serves as an adviser to the company Solar Mosaic, which the Obama administration just awarded a $2,000,000 grant. Solar Mosaic also hired Van Jones' public relations firm Rebuild the Dream.

"It’s unclear whether the Department of Energy knew of Jones’ position at Solar Mosaic. Agency spokeswoman Jen Strutsman"
Hmmm ..
Given the documentation that has to be put together for these types of 'grant' activities ..
which is very .. detailed indeed ..
(and you do have to denote your subs and support services .. along with ownership info on the applications) ..
Makes this .. oh, how to say it .. HIGHLY Probable .. that there needs to be ..
INVESTIGATION on the entire process here ..
for this doesn't pass the 'smell test' ..
and seems to be .. well .. shady at best ..
(and possibly .. well .. needing charges pending?)
Use Tax payer funds to line the pockets of his cronies and donors and they return it to barack in the form of campaign donations.
Why would an admitted Communist "advise" a Company anyway? They don't believe in Companies they prefer Bureaus!
This is For those of you who want Romney to do something about China. Well this could help keep Solar Energy JOBS in U. S. Right now China is trying to corner the market.
So stop all of the HYPOCRCISY just because it is coming from the Obama Administration and Check the FACTS on who really did in the Economy IN and trying to DIG OUT, WHICH WILL TAKE MORE THAN 4 YEARS OR EVEN EIGHT.
Since Reagan it has only so that taken the Republicans 32 years to bring the Economy to the brink of a another DEPRESSION. Think about that before you are ready TO VOTE for Romney and Company to completely DESTROY THE ECONOMY.
And NOTHING has improved under 0webama.
It is not about his policies but him as a person. I watch Romney use code words every speech he makes about the President for the crowd he appeals to. In his RURAL stops, he portrays the President as eloquent and well spoken - to that crowd it is a "dog whistle" for "elitists". and how he, Romney, is a much better person to whom everything has been given . He was a bully, lN fact, and he can't even mention being a Governor. He refuses in general to talk to the mainstream press.
If he cannot stand up to the scrutiny of the Press, and you want him as your President out of the fact that he is White, go right ahead, because I have a problem with that and it has nothing to do with the fact that he is White, like it is for most of you who HATE Obama.
So keep your name calling up if if makes you feel the bigger person.
EVERYTHING in your diatribe regarding Romney is exactly what the liberal media has armed you with. Can you come up with something Original?
Ever notice how obama is well spoken to his intellectual crowd, Stutters for the union crowd and speaks 'bro' to people of color?
It is 0bama that CanNot stand up to the scrutiny of the press. How many press conferences has he had? All we get are speeches. Basically the same one over and over. When barack was interrupted the other day, the libs in the media couldn't toss out their racecards fast enough.
''owebama gave No-Bid contracts to Halliburton as well'' Kind of left you speechless on that subject huh?
As far as comments go? Why do you make any? You're so lockstep lemming it's pathetic! You've wanked you're "bait" and gone Blind!
Typical right wing disinformation.
In fact, I'll settle for $1Billion over 4 years.
Pay close attention, 45 seconds into your clip:
''The intangible drilling cost is not a subsidy but a legitimate tax deduction.''
The same sort of production cost deduction EVERY business is allowed.
Now to educate you. Tax deduction does not equate Subsidy. A subsidy is an amount of money GIVEN to a company by a gov't. NO MONEY HAS CHANGED HANDS FROM THE GOV'T TO BIG OIL (such the now bankrupt Solyndra). If you have a problem with this legitimate Tax Deduction, how do you feel about the General Motors $45 billion dollar tax holiday? That's over and above the SUBSIDIES and BAILOUT they received.

All businesses get the same write off. It is not special treatment as with GM.
The autos were not ''saved''. They filled for bankruptcy anyway and we are still owed billions. Bankruptcy does not equate ''gone''. How many lost their jobs from all the dealerships 0webama closed. All chosen based on their politics. Barak is one Sick bastard.
Oil companies are big. They are powerful. They hire armies of lobbyists. They make truckloads of campaign contributions, They hire hundreds of lawyers to fight lawsuits and circumvent regulations. And they pollute like there is no tomorrow. But one thing they do not do is shirk their responsibility to pay taxes.
Since the Gulf oil spill, hardly a week has passed when a journalist has not called and asked for background on all the tax breaks enjoyed by the oil industry. They are invariably surprised and miffed with my response: oil companies pay high taxes. They pay high foreign taxes in the countries where they extract oil. And long gone are the days when depletion allowances got them low domestic taxes.
The biggest tax break enjoyed by the oil industry is something called the section 199 domestic manufacturing/production deduction. This became law in 2004. All companies that produce things in the United States are eligible for it.
The oil companies were getting that money long before 1994. 1994 was just the latest giveaway so it isn't that. Research back alot farther to find it. Oil companies can write off 70% of their drilling costs which amounts to $1.2 billion a year. Corn farmers get $4 billion in taxpayer subsidies every year. WTF. How about giving every person in the US that $8 billion a year a piece of that pie. Say everyone who earns less that $250,000 a year get's to split that $8 billion dollars. At least it will be spent and go back into the economy.
It has nothing to do with any ''jobs saved'' up to this point.
''For that $4 billion a year what do we get from the oil companies?''
You still have a mental block. The oil industry does not ''get'' 4 billion so there's no expectation for us to get back anything.
''What do we get? Oh yes another yearly $4 billion added to the deficit.'' To come to your conclusion, one would first have to regard all the money as property of the Gov't to start with.
Why would it be far to not give this industry the same tax break others get? It is only the shear volume that makes their profits seem so large. Apples ''profit'' is 4 times larger. So who is greedier? Hmmm?
''And yes you are defending the oil companies the same way I am defending the saving of the car companies.the difference being I admit the truth.'' Too funny, I have proven every point I have made and proved you to be full of liberal crap in the process.
''Corn farmers get $4 billion in taxpayer subsidies every year.'' Yeah, and?? You are kind of making my point here.
Now profit margin is irrelevant. Every company has a different margin of profit. But the sheer size of the profits of oil companies is staggering. I'll defend the auto industry and those jobs supported by it and you defend those ripping you off every time you fill up your tank. Let's just leave it at that.
