President Obama has granted an 11th-hour request by Eric Holder to exert executive privilege over Fast and Furious documents, a last-minute maneuver that appears unlikely to head off a contempt vote against the attorney general by Republicans in the House.

What is Holder trying to hide? Previously Obama has claimed no knowledge of the goings on in Fast and Furious. Was this another Obama lie or is he using the EO as a cover up so as to not damage his re-election campaign? I believe that he is trying to keep all of his appointees pristine so as to not have a campaign faced with questions he would rather not answer. I have always thought that his duplicity would end up backfiring on him. Perhaps this is the beginning of the end.

I watched the hearing with glee, about time these reps got angry and did something about the shameful men in charge. SHame on Obama, shame on Holder!

I'm trying to imagine what would happen to someone who was under investigation by the DOJ who stalled, withheld tons of documents until he could review them and then tried to get executive privileged.

It's my understanding that Holder brought a copy of the request to the President for him to issue to executive privilege to the meeting late yesterday afternoon. I would assume Holder was trying to force the committee's hand to back off on the requests and it failed. So now Obama has jumped into the fray and it makes me wonder what the President knew and how involved was the WH in the cover-up.

Ed... when we were at this place and time of finally selecting Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter had a 14 point lead on him! obama's lead on Romney is but a few points, nationwide on ANY poll one will look at! What is MORE important, there is still 6 to 9% out there that is UNDECIDED!

No election in American history has the incumbent garnered MORE than 15% of the undecided vote come election day! obama will lose by a landslide! :)

well he's guilty as SIN ...as is OBAMA (soetoro) ..

the 11th hour and obama 's exeuctive privledge will keep obama's (soetoro) feet off the fire ..

the docs . if presented honestly ( without looking like swiss cheese ) will look incriminating for both of them ..,, as they BOTH are guilty ...

and holder knows obama will either try to protect him ( or he'll go under the bus) ,

we can only hope for a just out come !

LOL, I believe that we just witnessed Odumbo throwing Holder under the bus, whether Odumbo intended to or not!!! Holder SWORE UNDER OATH that Odumbo had NOT had ANY prior knowledge of Fast and Furious, so, by Odumbo claiming executive privilege he is ADMITTING to prior knowledge, and in so doing, he has proven Holder's GUILT of lying to Congress!!!
