Obama apologizes to Muslims all the time. Is it time that the Muslims apologize to us?

Should Obama keep apologizing to Muslims?
Should the Muslims apologize to us?

I had to take my car in today for some work. Got to talking with Sam, a 30 year civil service veteran at Kelly AFB here in SA. He brought up a point I'd never thought about. Have any Muslims apoligized for the 13 people a Muslim killed at Ft. Hood, Texas? Have any muslims apologized for the troops we've lost trying to help the people in Iraq and Afghanistan? Yet our president apologizes to the muslims over and over. Total BS.

Should the Muslims apologize to us?

Islam is not a religion but an ideology that wants to envelope the world. They use barbaric means ie. honor killings, public beatings and beheadings, and stonings, etc. They treat women abominably; woman have little if no rights. Many countries do not believe in educating women and women are not allowed to drive or go out in public without a male relative. They must wear clothes in public that cover their bodies and faces. THIS IS SICK!

Really, what your saying is very IGNORANT, did you visit one of these "barbaric" places you call. Your source of information is the media. Mine is experience. And as you can see I'm not wearing a veil. Please do not generalize it is very insulting, because you are insulting the religion, not the people.

I live in the Detroit area and see these things for myself.

Detroit isnt an original arab nor muslim teritory. Try somewhere else, and dont base your theories on simply something youve "seen". I'v had my friend getting spat at by a guy RANDOMLY in NY didnt make me generalize things. And you have to keep in mind the number you have seen in Detroit and compare it say to where I live, a easy 1 million.

We have a family friend who married someone from a muslim territory and went there to live. They did divorce. She had to "escape", and it wasn't easy, to get back to the the US WITH her children. She still lives in fear. The Detroit area has the largest Arab population in the world outside of the Middle East. It gives us a good picture of how people treat each other, especially women. Can you vote or drive a car? Can you go anywhere you like unescorted? Can you marry anyone you want? Can you pick the education of YOUR choice? You are from Bahrain, which is more liberal than some but how much? I have a friend who was an executive for an auto company. They wanted her to visit Saudi Arabia for business with several others. She was required by the Saudis to get a letter of permission from her husband to travel there. She told them to take a "hike", she wasn't going anywhere she had to ask her husband for "permission" to do anything.

YES I CAN DRIVE AND VOTE! YES! YES! AND YES! That proves that you dont know about the muslim community so much after all. The ONLY place in the middle east where women are not allowed to drive and do the other things you said is in Saudi. And Bahrain along with the other countries arnt even similar to Saudi . After seeing your reply I can assure you that you do not know enough and you need to broaden your resources. I'd be happy to answer any questions related to this topic of course if thats your desire.

Do you cover your head? Can you wear a bikini in public? Can you show affection for a male in public (not in Iran)? Can you criticize your religion on points you may not agree with?
  • Walaa jasmine1 2012/05/16 17:17:25
    Walaa
If you notice my display picture youd notice that I'm not, you see we DONT have too. And yes we do wear bikinis in PUBLIC places. Yes we can show as much affection as long as no organs are involved, and yes I can criticeze a my religion. This tells me you dont really know how is it like in the middle east and I dont find it ignorant what so ever for the media plays a role in this as well as the language barier. If you have any more questions I'd be happy to answer them.

You live in Bahrain and obviously it is much more liberal there as is some other muslim countries. Iran is not. Iraq is not. You admit Saudi Arabia is not. Here in the US we have had problems with muslims commiting honor killings with the women in their own families. As I said I live in an area with a large number of muslims and see things I would rather not. I am glad for you it is not this way in Bahrain. Afganistan does not want to educate women. You must educate yourself as to what other countries in the middle east are like also, and do what you can so they can live like you do. It is heartening to hear that Bahrain is so open minded.

by that logic christianity is an even worse religion since the kkk were christians and they killed people and the fact that most the nazis were christians.

KKK and Nazis were not true Christians, they did not follow what the Bible says and teaches. Muslim Brotherhood and Black Panthers are doing exactly what the Koran says and teaches. Now what do you have to say?

Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT) according to this verse you should kill people who dont listen to the priest explain this one

Well the bible is part history describing what is going on at that time. Describing the people and their laws of that time. Parts of the bible are actually Gods words. Such as when the laws were given to Moses, when Jesus spoke (most of the New Testament)...

The same way you say that they did not follow what the bible have taught, we say that they did not follow what the Quran have taught, what you dont understand is that to kill an infidel it must be at a war zone, a man. Women and children are not to be killed. Christians and muslims lived peacefully in the time of Prophet Mohammed, and the christians helped spread his message. What makes things diffrent is the ignorance people are and the hate they carry for each other as well as the hasty generalization people like yourself practice that systimatically spreads like an epidemic. If one doesnt move on from the past they never will and that would eventually cause an explosion of hate and discomfort among all people. There is also no need to insult one another.

if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people Holy Quran,(5:32) this verse clearly states you cant kill None believers. And also according to islam you have to follow the law of the land.and also whats wrong with getting halal food? You dont complain about kosher but halal is a problem.

Yes doesnt mean anything if their the leaders i have read scriptures and alot of what you say is bull.Thats like me saying hitler was a leader and he wanted to kill all jews so all christians main goal is to kill jews.

Ha Ha Ok I just state facts. Muslims yelling their beliefs and you still cant face it. If you picked 100 Christian leaders and they were all yelling how all unbelievers needed to be killed then you would be screaming about violent Christians. Point being you wont find that. So it goes to say if you see 100s of muslims yelling that infidels need to be killed and how they will take over the world. If you see them dancing in the streets when they hear about 9/11. Then it isnt BULL!!!!!! Please pull your head out!!

Ahh because there arent christians that spread hate you need to get your head out of your ass. Ever heard of the westborough baptist church ? The KKK etc I see you dont look into your religion. You have not stated any facts. If you are going to be such a logical person why do you believe jesus is god? He prayed to god theres also many other points that backup my point that jesus isnt gof.

Do you see hundreds of thousands of Christians taking over countries bombing cars, martyr killings, honor killings, running through the streets bombing places????!?!! NO all the worlds problems are caused by terrorist muslims. You are talking about a few SO CALLED groups that exist of a few weirdos.
Yes Jesus was God. God is omnipotent so he can be in several places at one time that is how he was man on earth and still God in heaven. I know my faith far better than you ever could.
