Obama and the EPA at war with the citizens and business of this country..

iamnothere 2012/07/08 14:56:21

The Environmental Protection Agency continues to be one of President
Obama’s most aggressive and costly agencies. Through its massive new
regulatory agenda, the EPA has declared war on hundreds of thousands of American jobs.

Now EPA regulators are poised to implement a "maximum achievable
control technology" rule, which threatens hundreds of thousands of jobs
and the reliability of our nation’s electricity grid while raising the
cost of electricity.

According to the EPA's own analysis, MACT is the most expensive rule
the agency has ever written for power plants. The National Economic
Research Associates estimates that implementation of the MACT rule will
result in:

  • Double digit increases in the price of electricity in at least 30 states.

  • A minimum of 183,000 jobs lost every year from 2012 through 2020.

  • Loss of reliability in the national power grid, leading to rolling blackouts and brownouts.

In short, America can't afford the MACT rule.

This country cannot afford the EPA and many other agencies. All of these agencies pay their payroll and other expenses with tax dollars that are taken by threat and force from the tax payers of this country. Our government as a whole is too large to sustain.

We use the system I posted the link for to run our home, have since before Husband married me--over 6 years, flawless operation. Rain, snow...doesn't matter. Snow especially as he came up with a widget that melts the panels clear if covered and a recent experiment involving the rain-runoff from a panel channelled through a pipe to a anemometer-style impeller connected to a car alternator gave some very pleasant results, so he's going to be refitting all the panels for such and the rain gutters also on the house--waste not, right??
Our wind turbines use anemometer-style omnidirectional impellers not 'propeller' style, too inefficient. Anemometer-type...there's a reason they use those in scientific wind-measuring instruments. ;-)

Well of course...the EPA is closely tied in with the U.N.'s 'Agenda 21'...And they are working hand in hand to quietly steam roll it onto the American people. Only a matter of time when they start confiscating private property and pushing whole populations into 'city dorm' dwellings....Welcome to the future:

President Leads EPA, WHRC, DOE, NASA and Courts to Land Grabs

President Obama, under the long arms of his EPA, the White House Rural Council (WHRC), the Department of Education (DOE) and NASA, is quietly and steadily promoting the UN’s Agenda 21. The President quietly leads his team, along with the lower court system, in a UN favored move to grab privately-owned land. Our government wants our land because “the community” needs it. “Communitarianism” is the governing philosophy of Agenda 21 and all is fair as long as it’s in the interest of “the community.”

We are so lucky to have republicans going all out to stop the EPA by ending the funding to that worthless government agency. Speaker Boehner is really looking out for the folks!. Glad he is leaving the Dept Of Energy alone though because they have produced so much energy in 30 years, what would we do without them?.

What I want to know, who's cleening up all that radioactive crap washing up on the west coast from Japan.

Somebody tell the EPA Rome is burning.

Here is what I believe. The earth provides enough for every man’s needs but not every man’s greed – Mahatma Gandhi

Without the EPA, corporate greed and avarice at the expense of the earth and all life would know no bounds. But there is an even bigger danger known as overpopulation. The EPA can't do anything about this and the demand of all those lives drives the avarice and greed.

Most gladly. But they don't listen. They can't see the source of America's problem. Let them go back to the people they elected, they 525 elite money whores that run this country for their corporate cronies and so willingly take their moneys. Let them look at the globalization and the WTO these 525 promote for their corporate buddies.

You want to know where jobs went? Look no further... And I still say those jobs will never return, with or without the EPA. Bain capital (aka Mitt Romney) outsourced them to China and India where human life has little value.

my best bet Super high taxes here in the USA.. passed by our dear lawyer congressmen ..then add all of the regulations by the myriad federal departments.. Any multi national that can take work over seas is stupid to stay here in the USA.. We have the most regressive government in the world when it comes to doing business

You best research that yourself and come to your own conclusions. Just remember to follow the money and price paid by the American middle class when avarice and greed reign supreme.

Let me make a suggestion to think about and get started. Agreement is optional.

Bain Capital (aka Mitt Romney) is like every other company. If they can outsource American jobs and make more money doing it, what do they care? Chalk this up to globalization and the WTO that promotes taking jobs from a prosperous nation with high paying jobs and standard of life like the US and sending them to third world countries like India and China where wages are low and human life is not very important. I believe this is one of the root causes of the jobless recovery in the US. It's my opinion that the new mean for unemployment may be 6% or even higher. To change this, we need to revert to another system such as GATT where we as Americans can control our internal business and not be at the mercy of cheap imports and foreign governments all the time.

Sort of like in 1860, when the South was at the mercy of the Northern manufacturers. Pay our price or pay a tariff twice as high as we do.

Because of the UNIONS. It got too expensive to buy American!!! When the Unions priced the little jobber factories out of work, starting 40 yrs ago, Factories that made parts for The BIG THREE, went under because the BIG THREE started buying their parts from China. No longer from US factories because the unions kept them going out on strike till nobody could afford them.
I am sure the same thing happened to other factories that made other things as well.

Well that makes a lot of sense. Then it would not be long before the Govt STARVED to death, because there would not be anyone to feed them due to the fact that we were all exterminated. THen we would have a barren Country that the Illegals could just move into and take over. Or was that your point?
