For the second week in a row, alleged media pundits went on TV gameshow Jeopardy! to show off their smarts. Unfortunately for them, they exposed what the rest of America already knows: mainstream media pundits don't know as much as they think they know. Last week Chris Matthews of "Hardball" bombed on Jeopardy! as well. The same Chris Matthews who mocked Sarah Palin and accused her of having low intelligence.
Despite winning three Pulitzer Prizes, New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman bombed on Jeopardy! Friday.

By the end of the show, he had amassed a pitiful $1,000

Most prey animals, that have their eyes mounted on the sides of their skulls are more intelligent than a media pundit. If two media pundits were on Jeopardy competing against a jackrabbit, I'd bet on the rabbit.

C'mon Fef. Anyone who watches Jeopardy know that the questions were dummied down for these clowns and they still screwed. Chris Wallace did a great job, though. Cooper had a good showing but he is smart. We just have to wait for him to get smart enough to stop being liberal. Matthews was not a surprise at all. We all know that he lacks intellectually. Too much pee tingling down his leg.

Doesn't really mean anything that someone didn't win on Jeopardy.

I've never been very impressed by Tom Friedman. He seems to live in his own bubble insulated from the real world by billions of dollars of his wife's family wealth.

Success on Jeopardy depends on your ability to articulate a quick recall of specific facts. Just because you are a good writer does not mean you will do well on Jeopardy. With the New York Times and their employees, once they are no longer discussing liberalism, the socialization of America and how to best suppress conservative ideas, they are not very well informed.

Very few News Personnel are smart enough to be on Jeopardy. If it's not written down and in front of them they are at a loss for words. Tom Friedman is a prime example.

I think the guy is a biased putz, but in all fairness he didn't really bomb. He just bet big at the end and didn't know the Final Jeopardy answer. It was a go for broke situation.

Media people believe they are as smart as their persona. Without a research team and Google, and verification from paid people who do their legwork, they are no smarter than the average person. Jeopardy requires on the spot thought and knowledge. News personalities get to be prepared and have teleprompters. This has been good for some of the inflated egos.

Few media people are knowledgeable about the real workd. They imbibe and accept a cliche world of superficial, unproven ideas that they think is reality. Few are true students of UN issued history. Almost all media people yearn for stardom and have no cercern for just being a conduit for actual fact . Worse they assume a role of analyst with virtually no real world experience. Most TV news people -including FOX - are just superficial pretty faces who set themselves up as "authorities
