    Attacks on 9/11

Pearl Harbor lead to WW2 which led to huge boost to patriotism and industrial development. Kennedy and MLK assassinations were horrible, but they became "martyrs" for their causes, and helped impact society greatly after death. Obama's election showed a huge increase in voter turnout, and so far his presidency has not been bad (hasnt been to good either), 1929 Stock Market Crash did lead to an increase in Keynesian economics being practiced around the world which led to great economic security in many nations except America who fears government wants to kill their children.

9/11 however divided the nation, led to the Patriot Act, created a prolonged War which added more debt to our country then anything Obama has done, and also gave politicians and talking heads more attention for referring to it constantly. Yeah, i would say worse day ever.

We as Americans can deal with unexpected Tragedy. But the tragedy of Obama was one of deceit. Americans chose this Tragedy because of their naivete, and ignorance.

“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world - no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”

The worst day ever in American History was the day John Lennon was murdered. In America.
Here you have a man who advocated peace among men, love for your fellow man, and donated millions to help others.
Gunned down in his front yard.

    1929 Stock Market Crash

Hard choices ! Not to mention some very important ones not listed like slavery, theft of land from the real "natives" of America, sending all the Japanese citizens to "camps" during WW2 taking away their livelihood, homes, pride, and many more things we fine Americans have done. But out of the list, I must say the stock market crash effected all of America and for many years after.

I think 9/11, the Kennedy Murder, and my parents would attest to the Depression as significant horrors in the recent history of our country. WWII was not a War of Choice but as all wars of necessity, horrific all by itself.

    Election of Barrack Obama

President ( I wince every time I type that title before his name)Obama is, hands down the worst, most destructive, most ignorant, least competent, most liberal, most dishonest, most anti-American, most egotistical, most untrustworthy, most dangerous, and actually, non-American president that this country has ever had. Compared to the other disasters listed in the choices above, which we have either recovered from or will recover from, it is very difficult to say that America will survive his term in office or, if we do, if we will ever be able
to repair all the horrible damage that he has done.

What "damage" do you think needs to be "repaired" nightflight? You had your chance for 8 misbegotten, incompetently governed years and you failed utterly and totally. Whatever is being done now is just that. Repairing the petard left behind by a pathetic right wing who could gain office thru lies, distortion of facts but didn't have a clue how to use the power they gained.

i can't take those kinds of over dramatic comments seriously and no one else does either..they only serve to prove that they are ignorant and stupid all at once...i am glad that they feel free to make fools of themselves in front of everyone...Steve surely added that choice to bring on the nuts because he is either a certified nut himself or he likes to laugh at them and stir them up...either way, they still feel compelled to make their dumb and hateful comments...

I found out that Steve is a Nut...didn't take long to find out...just look at his response..they always show themselves and pretty quickly too!!! Also, read the questions he asks..he is an ass hole...hopefully the Republicans can shake these crazies before their party is completely destroyed..

I had MY chance? For 8 misbegotten, incompetently governed years? I failed utterly and totally? What universe are you in? Maybe you are, in a vey confused and confusing way, referring to President George W. Bush. Now, no doubt about it, Bush was, up to the time his presidency ended, the worst president that this country has ever had. But I stand by my earlier reply; Obama is not only continuing the fiascos that Bush started but adding to them greatly and continually and doing damage that may never be undone..
