Not that anyone is going to do or say anything about it, but - "OBAMA'S LITERARY AGENT IN 1991 BOOKLET: 'BORN IN KENYA AND RAISED IN INDONESIA AND HAWAII'?"...Believe it or not?

"Note from Senior Management:
Andrew Breitbart was never a "Birther," and Breitbart News is a site that has never advocated the narrative of "Birtherism." In fact, Andrew believed, as we do, that President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on August 4, 1961.
Yet Andrew also believed that the complicit mainstream media had refused to examine President Obama's ideological past, or the carefully crafted persona he and his advisers had constructed for him.
It is for that reason that we launched "The Vetting," an ongoing series in which we explore the ideological background of President Obama (and other presidential candidates)--not to re-litigate 2008, but because ideas and actions have consequences.
It is also in that spirit that we discovered, and now present, the booklet described below--one that includes a marketing pitch for a forthcoming book by a then-young, otherwise unknown former president of the Harvard Law Review.
It is evidence--not of the President's foreign origin, but that Barack Obama's public persona has perhaps been presented differently at different times."

Oh I am sure!! I LOVE sherriff Joe. (Not sure if that is the video, cant watch at work) I have seen to many questionable documents connected to the Pretender in Cheif. A conneticut SSN but no residence EVER in the state. The draft card...Have you seen that one? That one is interesting too!

NOT the link I was looking for, this one doesn't show the "real" date stamps used or how they figure this one was made. They showed how the removable peices fit in and how this one loks like a 2008 cut in half to get 08 and flipped over to get 80.

Many jacket blurbs contain misinformation. They shouldn't, but they do.

Where would they even get the idea that he was born in Kenya?
    Unless, he told them.

"Many jacket blurbs contain misinformation. They shouldn't, but they do."

I am not denying this, but I am asking, how do you know this about "many" of them?

Do you have any link, or any resource that you know of where I can get many more examples of blurb bloopers?

I would like to take a look at as many as I can find, or as many as you could point me to.

And are you implying that blurb bloopers are the norm, instead of the exception?

I'm thinking of blurbs that turn out to be teasers and not what happens in a book. I don't know whether those are deliberate or whether they're accidents. I realize that's not the same as incorrect biographical facts; I was getting at the idea that sloppy editing is a problem.

    I hope they're the exception.

Right. So he was born in Hawaii -- as he says.

But, that is not what he said in the bio...And, according to the guidelines set forth from the literary agency, the authors are supposed to present this biographical info themselves.

I mean, Obama could be lying just as easily as he could be telling the truth about his birthplace.

It's what he says in Dreams From My Father. So it seems to me either position is equally valid -- only the Hawaii thing hangs together better because there's evidence that his mother WAS in Hawaii and that his father DID go to school there. There's nothing getting her to Kenya ever.

I care only because I believe it is not wise to ignore something like this that so significantly could undermine the law.

However, I do not, nor have I ever wanted it to get in the way of simply voting Obama out of office for another term.

I just want what has happened with Obama's eligibility issue to teach the U.S.A. a lesson for the future in vetting ANY potential POTUS, but I don't think it really will.

I certainly agree with you that presidential candidates should go through a real vetting process -- until Obama I assumed they did.

It never entered my head that our "leaders" were so stupid as not to be sure that every candidate is qualified to run for office.

I believe the founding fathers were keenly aware of the natural, yet flawed tendency for ALL humans to be tempted to flaunt the "rule of law", and I believe they always knew it would forever be a slippery slope that would get us into trouble if the citizens and politcians were ever blessed enough to become fat, dumb, happy, hedonistic, and apathetic.

Exactly look at the date the jacket blurb says Tip O'neill was named speaker of the house. I wonder what kind of conspiracy his jacket is covering.

I am a published author and have worked with a literary agency. Agencies ALWAYS require the author to provide their own bio IN WRITING. It's part of the book proposal.

Quite simply, the agency took the information Obama provided and printed it.

It wasn't until Obama decided to run for president that the information was changed. At that time, Obama had motivation to lie about his birthplace.
