Over the past few weeks, a group of nearly 40 housekeepers, day
laborers, students and immigration activists has been making its way
across the country in a ragtag caravan, chanting “no papers, no fear”
and proudly declaring “I’m undocumented” in public gatherings. ...
They are on the bus tour, dubbed the “undocubus,” to highlight their
plight and to challenge their anti-immigrant foes in the ongoing
national debate on immigration.
“We want to live in equality like everyone else, and that's why we have
taken this risk. We have confronted fear of potentially being arrested,
but we believe that it is worth fighting,” said El Salvadorean Jose
Mangandi, a day laborer living in Los Angeles. ... Their tour, which
began in Arizona, has made stops in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas,
Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.
Over
the past several weeks, representatives from a growing and influential
group have been crossing YOUR
NATION by bus, telling our
story to anyone and everyone who will
listen.
We’ve had
crowds! And we’ve had
the media!
Who are
we?
Well, YOU probably call us something negative and
nasty, like “illegal aliens”, but we
much prefer “undocumented
worker”.
And now, thanks to
President Obama’s amnesty plans for us, we’d much rather you
called us “undocumented
voters”!
Because that’s
exactly what we’re going to be very, very soon.
Sooner than you think, we
promise you.
The media calls our bus the
“Undocu-bus”…
...isn’t that cute? Almost warm and cuddly?
That’s exactly what we want.
You conservatives, well, let us put it
this way: all that “law and order” you keep preaching? We
just don’t have time for that any longer.
We’ve got a mission and a timetable to keep, and your silly laws like SB-1070 and
your “employer sanctions” laws to keep businesses from hiring
us just aren’t part of our plan.
Now, who are we really? Our bus is full of day
laborers and students, but also immigration activists. In
other words, professionals. And we know how to get things
done.
Every stop we make across “your country”,
we stage rallies and lead chants of “no papers, no
fear”, because we aren’t going to
let you hold us back any longer.
Yes,
America, you DO have jobs we want, and we will work at
them for less that you are willing to accept. And yes, we will send that money back home, out
of your country, out of your precious economy.
But
this isn’t open for debate…
…this is all bought and paid for with our
votes!
We began our tour in
Arizona to show you just how unafraid we really are. You don’t scare
us anymore.
You may have Sheriff Joe,
but we have El Presidente, Barack
Obama!
And from Arizona we have
already driven through New Mexico and Colorado, and through Texas,
Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. And we aren’t
going to stop!
Is there a fear of being
arrested because we are undocumented? A little.
But
your jails and your government already lets out violent criminal
immigrants, so the risk to us is very, very low.
So what can you do, really? I mean, if we
are going to vote, are you?
There’s always the possibility that you might vote in higher
numbers than we do… but given the history of recent
elections?
And there’s always
the possibility that you might get involved with a group like Ban
Amnesty Now and their new PAC. Yes, there we see a real
threat…
…because if
B.A.N.-PAC elects enough of you conservatives to Congress to undo
Presidente Obama’s amnesty for us, then we will have real
problems.
And if B.A.N.-PAC elects
enough of you conservatives to Congress to secure the border, so the next
time I get deported I can’t just walk back across? Another problem
again.
But are you so determined
to stop me from taking your jobs and stealing your elections that you would
give to B.A.N.-PAC and
join thousands of other conservatives across your nation to
stop illegal immigration and amnesty for undocumented voters like
me?
I’m counting on you not to.
Barack Obama is counting on
you to sit back and take it.
After
all, it’s his country, not
yours.

Obama passing all these crappy laws to get their votes sucks. Wish they could be reversed NOW!
Oh you want the businesses to not hire them so they can hire you for more money...which means lesser profits for the company and therefore impeding capitalism?
...and I thought I was the collectivist.
I'm also pro-immigration. If it were up to me, there would be no borders, just places where people live and work/trade. Which is the epitome of capitalism because it allows businesses to trade freely, employ who they want to and invest where they think they need to =P
I'm a huge proponent of small government but I'm also a collectivist so I think people should share, not because they have to, but because they want to ^_^...of course... I think businesses have a duty of care but I don't see how this really hinders Capitalism =D
Obama loves socialism since he was mentored by a communist in Hawaii during the '70's. He really should not have been allowed to be President at all, based on his shady background. The records he spent $4 million to seal, should have been unsealed for the security of our country!! I can't believe the nation was that lax.
I'm for Romney/Ryan, & I know they will save our country from the devastation that Obama has done to it.
That said...are you honestly trying to bring class warfare to the table? I do not consider the middle class, the working class or the elite class to exist. I consider everyone to be people and some people happen to earn a helluva lot more money than I. However that doesn't make them elite. o.O Recession and Boom is a natural biproduct of capitalism. Don't like it? Switch to communism. Growth in communism is very... restricted but it's much more stable.
Now we're onto conspiracy theories I see. Obama is secretly a red... -.- he's actually been quite a solid capitalist and conservative, but okay. Because someone believes in Healthcare, they are communists *cough romney*.
What records did he spend $4 million to seal? Could you point them out?
Really now because I just consider them Obama Lite. I had high hopes for Ryan...he failed to live up to them, he's just a lap dog who looks pretty, has a mean bark but no bite where it counts.
I am completely against Communism, so I don't know where you got that from. That's why I'm also against Obama, because he's bed partners with communism, & as our President, he's in the wrong country! He needs to go back to Kenya, or one of the arab countries he likes so much.
ALL of his college records, & every record of every kind were sealed-you name it. Why was he allowed to go into the top office in our country without having to unseal all of them?
His record is not doing anything for our country, failing, piling 5.3 trillion in debt in 3.5 yrs of being in office. the 1st president in 75 yrs who couldn't get an economic plan passed from either democrats or republicans-plus it took him 3 yrs to even come up with one. All that with our country in the worst recession since the Great Depression.
