We don't have a whole lot of details on this just yet, but Nintendo has announced that it's preparing to launch the Wii 2 video game console some time next year.

According to BBC, the Wii 2 will not focus on high-end graphics or cutting-edge visuals, and instead focus development on the system's unique controller and game play to try and push itself ahead of the competition.

"The talk was about Wii HD, but I do not see Nintendo doing that. It will do something more innovative," he told BBC News ... Mr Minkley noted that Nintendo marketed the original Wii around its motion-sensing handset, rather than technical specifications - something he expects to see repeated.

Eager gamers will get a sneak peek at the Wii 2 at this year's E3 convention in June.

I'm 16, not 7. A Wii is soley intendet for a young audience. There'll probably still be a thousand products coming out for it after release to fix 'bugs' with the motion sencors.

400 dollars? No way. I seen preliminary reports that said it would be 400 dollars. We are too strapped for cash to afford that right now.
