Newspaper Runs Ad Suggesting President Obama And Democrats Want To Murder Christians

☥☽✪☾DAW ☽✪☾ 2012/06/05 17:16:32

The Daily Advertiser, a Gannett-owned paper serving central Louisiana, is standing by its decision to run an advertisement today in which a far-right extremist group suggests that President Obama and Democrats are conspiring to murder Catholics and Christians.

The ad shows a photograph of a Catholic priest who was shot and killed in Mexico in the 1920s, and suggests that President Obama and Democrats would do the same. It was by a user on Reddit this morning.

The ad copy is no better:

AMERICA is under siege by the same evil (obama and democrats) as history shows over and over…We must learn from it or we are doomed to repeat it. We must be triumphant over terror.”

As with most newspapers, The Daily Advertiser says it does screen advertisements to ensure that blatantly false, overly offensive or otherwise inappropriate content is kept out of the paper. But the paper’s president and publisher Karen J. Lincoln told ThinkProgress that the newspaper stood by its decision to run the ad. “We look at all of the ads, and the decision is made by each market,” she said. “This ad did meet our standards. The decision to run it was approved.” Lincoln also says that another ad from the same organization will run in tomorrow’s paper.

Well Christians time to join Granny in the basement because Obama's Christian Police are teaming up with the Death Panel Police. Get all you guns and ammo, plenty cartons of cigarettes, your meth, gummi bears and potato chips because it's going to be a long battle. BTW don't come out until we tell you it's safe OK? Super

A Catholic priest was murdered in Mexico in 1920. Therefore, the Democrats want to murder Christians in America in 2012. Makes perfect sense! ;)

Fanatical right wing extremists have hijacked Christianity. During the Bush administration is when I noticed it. "Christians" running around clinging to guns and religion, using the name of God to justify war and torture, worshiping the rich, mocking the poor, hating on immigrants, calling for the death of gay people like we have seen just a few days ago. These people are sick and need to be stopped.

From 1882 to 1968, 56 whites and 335 blacks were lynched and burned to death by white Christians, who treated the atrocities like picnics. Body parts sold for souvenirs. Both Democrats and Republicans participated in the lynchings. Men, women and children, all smiling and posing, are pictured in historical lynching and burning photos. Why were these victims murdered? They were not guilty of crimes. What was the mobs purpose?

I guess being white and Christian gave them to right to exact "God's justice" on anyone they deemed less human than themselves. Needless to say this ad will appeal to others who are like-minded as the individuals participating in lynchings and burnings.

I think it is clear what this far right group wants to do and its not an original idea: Start a race war in the United States. These types of groups have been pushing toward that goal for decades. With the election of President Obama, a sign of white repression in the minds of these extremists, the rallying call to arms has gotten louder. And pseudo angry mobs, highlighted in America's dark past, are gearing up to answer the call. Gun and bullet sales have sky rocketed since January 20, 2009.

The ad and its contents does not surprise me. It is people, not history, that repeat themselves

The religious lunacy continues......I do believe that priest was shot for breaking the law.. He knew the penalty, He became a Martyr
.. He was shot by a firing squad, just as Blessed Padre Pro was, immediately after offering the outlawed holy sacrifice of the Mass.
