New Study Says Marijuana May Relieve MS Symptoms

I have no desire to use marijuana but I do say Have mercy on sick people! My sister smoked it while she was dying from cervical cancer; one of her sons was getting it for her and she told him it helped her more than any of the painkillers they had her on. I never told her that I knew, as I didn't want to embarrass her, but I'm so glad she got some relief from the excruciating pain she was in. For heaven's sake, let sick people have it! Use common sense - don't drive with it, smoke it under safe conditions, but give suffering people the relief from pain/nausea/whatever that they deserve!

I momentarily forgot this was about MS, but what's the difference? If pot can alleviate suffering, let physicians prescribe it for them.

my old buddy has had MS for 20 years - he has smoked weed the whole time -
DEFINITELY helps him - 100% for sure -
20 year double "blinded by the light" study to prove it !!

I'm pretty sure weed prevents MS too -
I have/do smoked weed for 40 years & never got MS -
my buddy never smoked weed till he did get MS -
better look into that one !!

Marijuana is a wounderful herb! All laws restricting the growing and using of marijuana are unjust.

That is for sure. But really the Constitution went out when Social Security came in. Under the Social Security contract the people become slaves of the state.

Having a study saying that it helps with MS is one thing, trying to get a doctor to prescribe it even in states where medicinal marijuana is legal, is another...and good luck trying to get an insurance company to pay for it. As a nurse and a sufferer of MS, I see this as an uphill battle.

Interestingly a friends mother has MS and she finds it relieves her pain.

I've heard about this.. I think it's medicinal use could benefit so many who suffer from so many different ailments.

My father had throat cancer and nothing the pharmaceutical companies could come up wouldn't even bein to touch his nausea and pain. He didn't like the idea at all of using this other but it made his symptoms more than tolerable and his quality of life was better.

Well at least those of us who are not ignorant about Marijuana have known that and many other things for a long, long, long time.

Yeah or anyone with a relative or they themselves have MS. It's used to treat more than just MS too. I am sure you know this.

I've been smoking it for over 40 years. It has helped me more times in my life than any pharmaceutical B.S. pill that relieves one thing and gives you 10 horrible side effects that are worse than what you were taking the pill for in the first place.
