What do you hear Romney saying that you haven't heard in 2008, 2006, 2004, 2000, 1996, 1992. Without the Tea Party the republicans would not have won JACK since 2004. The RINOs have ruined the Party of Reagan. tea party republicans won jack 2004 rinos ruined party reagan

I hear so many people say a vote for Ron Paul is a wasted vote or a vote in essence for Obama. this type of thinking and these type of people are the reason democracy has been such a blood spilling history of America. they vote as they are told, and stand in the bread lines saying how lucky they are to have free bread. I dare to believe that the people that have changed history, are growing in great numbers in America! a famous quote from our history...I would rather fdie for a cause, that I know one day will succeed, then to succeed at a cause, I know one day will fail. the wise will not be told who they can vote for, they will vote for the mission, not the party. it would be a great victory in this country if a write in candidate was elected president. it would send a message forward into history that :We the People" are the mold for the world population seeking freedom

It's TIME to face reality.. A vote for Paul is a vote for Obama..

    Remember Ross Perot..

There would NEVER have been a Clinton Presidency if,, "A vote for Perot is a vote for Clinton ",, had NOT been the truth.. Remember.. Clinton WON his first election with only 43% of the vote...

This is NOT the time to be hard headed.. We've ALL seen where Obama is taking us.. We've ALL heard how he feels about doing things,,"On his Own".. AT the very LEAST he will "Sign" things into law that will take YEARS of Legal Wrangling in the courts to overturn.. MEANWHILE,, THEY will BE the LAWS of the land.. And THAT'S if he has a Republican Congress to contend with.. IMAGINE if the Democrats hold their ground or even make gains in the Congress.. It'll be ONE PARTY RULE with things like Obamacare,, the Stimulous and TARP being passed against the will of the people ALL over again..

And perhaps the BEST reason why Obama should NEVER be re-elected at ALL costs,,

JUST take into account who it will be that appoints the next couple of Supreme Court Justices.. That ALONE will effect the course of this nation for a generation or more to come..

Bush was NOT as bad as Obama is.. Hell,, CLINTON was not as bad as Obama is..

    And neither will Romney be..

This is NOT a criticism of Paul or Perot.. It's simply the way things ARE..

I get it.. I don't much care for Romney myself but he IS far and away better then Obama..

Paul doesn't have a chance and at THIS point a vote for HIM is a vote FOR Obama.. If you don't get THAT then nothing you DO get matters..

You might as well just go ahead and vote for Obama..
  • DDogbreath Hawkeye 2012/04/14 13:37:25

You need to wake up to reality YOU LIBERAL!

"The main reason being, that awakening almost always entails also realizing the media and their ultra-pro-establishment controllers have been lying about the race and Ron Paul the entire time"

    http://www.examiner.com/consp...

"And thus far, Ron Paul is winning the majority of the ‘verbally’ declared delegate seats that have been elected in county conventions across the country. These hoards of Ron Paul supporters are now going to take their legally elected positions to state conventions to elect each other to the National Convention in August.

This is yet more evidence of what some of us have been saying all along -- Ron Paul is more electable in the general election than Mitt Romney.

Both Romney and Obama are too pro-establishment, too beholden to special interests, too pro-war, and too anti-freedom.

Get real already. The GOP's best hope of unseating Obama is a strong ticket with Romney at the top. If it comes down to a singular race between Obama and Romney it will be bad for Republican. However, A Mitt Romney ticket with a household name running mate against Obama/Biden will make for an interesting contest. Nevertheless, it's much too early to give credence to any poll numbers.

So who *is* your first choice? Do you plan to vote for someone just because you think he's going to get elected? If so, why? That's not why I support Ron Paul to win the GOP nomination. I still would support him even if I thought only 1% of people would vote for him.

Admit reality -- it's not like your single vote is going to change the outcome of a presidential election. Even in the once-in-a-lifetime close 2000 election, you would've had to change like 500 votes in one state, Florida, in order to affect the outcome. When millions of people vote, all you are doing is adding to somebody's total. If it was so close that a single vote would change the outcome, they would just do a recount and get a different total anyway. So why not vote for the best candidate regardless of what you think the outcome will be?

When ethically evaluating whether something is a good idea or not, we can ask, "What would happen if *everybody* did what I'm doing?" That's why tossing a single piece of litter in the wilderness, or stealing a candy bar that a big grocery store won't miss, are still ethically wrong.

But in the case of voting for Ron Paul, the answer is that if everybody voted for Ron Paul, he would be elected, and the U.S. would get a president who will make a serious effort to get governme...

Even if someone *really* had zero chance to win, which obviously isn't true in Ron Paul's case, everybody voting for that person would be the best outcome if he or she was in fact the best candidate. Your vote for him/her would be doing your part as a member of society by contributing to the best outcome, whereas voting for Romney or Obama instead doesn't hold up ethically in the same way because if everybody did *that*, then the person elected would *not* be the best candidate.

Ron Paul has yet to win a single state in the Republican primaries. It's a stretch to believe that he could somehow win the Republican nomination and go on to win the general election. Simply put, Ron Paul is the Dennis Kucinich of the Republican party. He says the right thing - the things we like to hear, but we don't really believe that he is ready to lead the country. Eugene McCarthy and Ralph Nader had the right ideas and their hearts were in the right place, too. And there will be other Ron Paul's.
