DURHAM, NH – A New Hampshire town is
asking the Obama campaign to foot the up to $30,000 bill for the
president's upcoming campaign stop in their city.

Community leaders do not believe that costs associated with the
campaign should be borne by local taxpayers," the release says according
to MyFoxBoston.

City officials say they usually would foot the bill for a
presidential visit, but since this is a campaign stop they believe the
Obama campaign should have to pay for the extra security.

No agreement between the Obama for America campaign and the Town of
Durham had been reached on the issue as of Friday, but city officials
say they are hopeful the matter will be resolved before the end of the
weekend.

Hell yes. Most of us don't want that SOB re-elected anyway, why should they be paying for someone they can't stand?

Sure but not with the taxpayers money...given the fact that businesses lose revenue because of all the security and restrictions that need to be in place

They would not have to have the extra expense if he never came in the first place. When he came to Pittsburgh they had to shut down the busiest roadways in the city while tens of thousands of people had to completely stop their travels because his sorry ass showed up.

With America on it's way to a 17 trillion debt ... isn't it time the politicians hands were cut off from any spending?

Cities are getting tired of footing the bill for his non-stop campaign tour which has been going on since 2007.
He sneaks in an 'official' 5 minute moment to discuss the NBA finals with someone behind closed doors and expects the taxpayers of the city to cover the costs.

Not to mention the losses local merchants have every time he decides to grace the community with his presence.

Good for NH! About time Obama(his contributors) had to pay for all the costs he causes.
