If a child burps during church, his parent may be arrested.
It is Illegal to go whale fishing.
It is illegal for bar owners to sell beer unless they are simultaneously brewing a kettle of soup.
It is illegal for a mother to give her daughter a perm without a state license.

+5All I can say is, Nebraska is probably one of the only places on earth where it is perfectly logical to still think that the world must be flat. Nebraska is 430 miles long, and you can practically stand at one end and see the other end. Two famous inventions from Nebraska are exactly like Nebraska. Kool-aid and Cliff notes. Both of them are flat, rectangular packages of a condensed product that almost everyone enjoys at some point, but is slightly embarassed to admit it later.
and i am offended! :[] nebraska just so happens to have a school district where the grade point average is 4.78...
Well, maybe the whale one is a stretch. Unless they are reacting to whales being overfished internationally, leading to the near demise of some species.
It goes to show you that laws that may have seemed reasonable to a majority of people in days gone by can look ridiculous now. Times change. People change. Thank GOD laws can change, too!
