If you are opposed to attracting more job-stealing illegals here with amnesty, work permits, "free" healthcare and everything else, even college at taxpayer expense, please complain to you fed reps about it, and also call the governors of Nebraska and Arizona urging them to stay strong.

I don't understand how our legislators, on both sides of the aisle, can stand by and allow the executive branch to commit such an egregious reach of power.

Good for Nebraska. We need more states to exercise their rights. This guy is not king and big federal government is unhealthy.

O, I know, it spoke volumes when Oblahblah chose that Mrs. PotatoHead as director of Homeland security. Plain to see from that point on, he wanted to flood America with illegals and give power to La Raza.

I live in Arizona. We're not refusing to recognize Obama's "amnesty by decree". Our governor is simply following a state law that says illegal immigrants can not get state issued ID, driver's licenses, or be eligible for state provided services.

    As the report noted:
Two days after Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer declared her state won’t confer driver’s licenses and other state benefits to newly-documented immigrants under Obama’s “deferred action” immigration policy, Nebraska, too, put its foot down.

Echoing Gov. Brewer, Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman (R) said on Saturday that Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program does not make successful applicants “legal citizens,” meaning they remain ineligible for state benefits like driver’s licenses and other services.

President Obama while serving as our President, has totally disrespected this country, and it's citizens. He continues to break our laws while deliberately violating our constitution.
He does not deserve the highest office of the land, while continuing to downgrade this country and its citizens..

The states will have to assert their 10th Amendment rights more and more these days. The Feds have over-reached their constitutional boundaries.

Our benefits should only go to citizens. Why is USA the only country in the world that has to offer illegals a home !

Sorry Barry....you sad attempt to gain votes will only hurt you in the end.......

deportation is the only policy to be embraced. anything else is economically irresponsible.
  • tncdel PaulBot415 2012/08/20 19:00:58

Actually deportation proceedings are economically not feasible for over 20 million foreign nationals here illegally. Plus most would simply return like boomerangs after being deported.

The ONLY way we can get rid of the illegals, and stop them from coming right back, is to simply MAKE THINGS SO TOUGH ON THEM that they self-deport back to Mexico, etc. at their own expense because they hate it here so much. That way also they will warn others not to come.

So we need to focus on grinding them up and making the U.S. the last place they would want to be.

that makes sense, they should build a wall and allow border guards to shoot on sight. there should be huge fines for companies found employing illegals and stricter investigations, so they cant get jobs in the first place. Maybe force illegals to pay a fine each time they get deported as well.

I'm not for amnesty period. To be fair, I want to remind all the beloved Ronald Reagan fans out there that Reagan WAS for amnesty saying "I believe in the idea of amnesty for those who have put down roots and who have lived here, even though some time back they may have entered illegally". Reagan signed amnesty into law for 3 million and as a result, my father working in those days for the FBI received a lot of overtime processing... This movie clip is even tied in with this subject ;)

He also said this was a ONE time thing.. and I was not nor voted for REAGAN.. after that the laws were to be upheld and the borders closed .. BUSH 1 .. CLINTON .. BUSH JR.. and OBAMA have done NONE of those things .. To be honest BOTH BUSH'S are just PROGRESSIVES like their grandfather Prescott Bush was .. people should READ about the families of the people they elect.. THAT is where they get their values ( or lack thereof from)

Bush's, Clintons and others under the thumb of the New World Order. Reagan made a huge mistake giving amnesty, but I'm not sure he did it for the same diabolical reason Obama is trying to do. Reagan may have simply made a mistake out of poor judgment.

Whereas, Obama saw the results of that mistake, encouraging millions more illegals to come here since then. And instead of rectifying the mistake, not only REPEATS it, but even is trying to "out-Reagan" Reagan by giving illegals not only amnesty, but also work permits, "free" healthcare and everything else, even college at taxpayer expense.

You can label Bush a RINO or neocon, or whatever. But the bottomline is that the NWO has infiltrated BOTH major political parties. Proof of that is how both Bush's and the Clintons all endorsed the NWO's NAFTA agenda, with the long-term goal of creating a North-American Union counterpart to the NWO's Euro-Union.

Although I am not sure Reagan was under the thumb of the NWO, I call it caving in to them to give the illegals amnesty.

Obama is the first president not merely under the thumb of the NWO, but an actual CREATION thereof:

You must watch the View, but as you speak ill of Reagan you probably speak highly of Obama who has done nothing significant in his term of office and yet has been praised by Liberals for his "plans" that bear absolutely nothing but imposing more debt on the country and the people. Talk about traitor to his country, Obama has sold us to China, given amnesty to illegal Mexicans and has circumvented proper Constitutional authority I would say that that more than makes him a traitor.

Wow I'm racist because I speak facts and not Liberal bias, and of course that is the Liberal talking point for anyone who isn't in support of Obama and his administration. It only takes a minute to prove my point about the Fair media Act, and a couple more to show how much money the Democrats have borrowed from China, not to mention the number of illegals that Obama has given amnesty to in the last few months to gain the Hispanic vote, since he angered many of them by supporting gay marriage.

I mentioned the View since they were the last "news" source to even mention the Reagan era closing of mental institutions and while Democrats have been in control of things several times during the years why have these policies never been overturned? I always hear both sides complain about policies from the other but when they come into control they don't change anything, abortion, birth control, gun control and others are always the big ticket items that each group claims the other is going to take away but it never happens, The Republicans have been in control and abortion and birth control are still available, the Democrats controlled the Government as early as the beginning of Obama's term and nothing with gun control.

I apologize if I offended you that was not my intent in my comment; my assumption of you being a liberal was because you didn't clarify your comment on how Reagan applied to the whole amnesty issue. Calling him a traitor is harsh in any terms, but since you want to blame Reagan who only signed the budgets and doesn't control the purse strings, that is a Congressional aspect of Government so while trying to balance a budget the releasing of individuals who were voluntarily institutionalized wasn't a mass closing of mental health institutions. Plus the 1963 Community Mental Health Act (signed by Kennedy) made local mental health centers available for those in need. This led to deinstitutionalization of patients as well but I don't recall anyone calling him a traitor, as I recall in the 80's a need for balanced budgets was a necessity and there were places for patients to get help; plus as I've said Democrats have yet to make things better since returning to power.

Politicians on both sides are a sham and a shame, until we get a bonafide 3rd party candidate who can actually beat out the other 2 than We the People are doomed to the same political aspects every four years with no change no matter who is in power. Each side believing the other will take away something that the other wants or add something that they don't i.e. abortion and gun control but neither side has ever done it when in majority power. Each side manages to mess up the economy for the worse each 4 years for the worse though and the same stupid issues come to the forefront of debates that bear no relevance on the actual running of the Government when debates or interviews are planned. The ignorance of the masses is frightening and it is getting worse, the last election showed that people can be swept up by ideals more than by policy.
