NDAA … OBAMA WANTS IT AND ROMNEY DOES TOO!

In a shameful display of disregard for the Constitution and for liberty, on Friday, the House of Representatives voted to perpetuate the president’s power to indefinitely detain American citizens.

By a vote of 238-182, members of Congress rejected the amendment offered by Representatives Adam Smith (D-Washington) and Justin Amash (R-Michigan) that would have repealed the indefinite detention provision passed overwhelmingly last year as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2012.

The Fiscal Year 2013 NDAA retains the indefinite detention provisions, as well as the section permitting prisoners to be transferred from civilian jurisdiction to the custody of the military.

“The frightening thing here is that the government is claiming the power
under the Afghanistan authorization for use of military force as a justification for entering American homes to grab people, indefinitely detain them and not give them a charge or trial,” Representative Amash said during House debate.

The real crime is that Allen West and so many of his fellow Republican lawmakers have betrayed not only the Constitution, but their oaths of office to “preserve, protect, and defend” it from all enemies.

It is apropos to recall the timely words written by James Madison in a letter writing to Thomas Jefferson in 1798:

“It is a universal truth that the loss of liberty at home is to be charged to the provisions against danger, real or pretended, from abroad.”

Each of these freedom-phobes invoked the specter of terror (in one way or another: “terrorist,” “al-Qaeda,” “enemies”) to justify the abolition of constitutionally guaranteed civil liberties.

This country has not been so close to outright tyranny since the depression/war days of FDR and if the economy does nosedive, the way many are forecasting, it would definitely become a very defining moment in the history of this country.

It is rather ominous looking to say the least.

So Dr. Paul would do away with a the Defense Appropriations Act that has been in place with updated modifications over the years since the 1950's. Available to every President since Eisenhower. Yeah! Like Congress would go along with that.
What is really here? Is it the Act itself, is it "Title X, Subtitle D" the counter terrorism clause, or is it that the BLACK MAN in the White House has the authority to use it in times of a National Emergency?

There's no reason for that indefinite detention. Harden all targets, by letting them arm themselves, and there's nothing to attack.

Mitt Romney must suffer from a lack of imagination. And a dangerous one.

Obama, I am sure, wants to detain anyone who gets in his way.

I would vote for Romney, Paul, or Donald Duck if they ran against Obama. The only goal I can help accomplish at this time is removing Obama from office. I will vote for whoever has the best chance to make that happen. I'm confident that whoever next lives in the White House will be a step up from the anti-American crap we have be subject to over the past 3 years.

    Less government
    More individual accountability
No more unconstitutional mandates or acts of war
More power back to the states where they belong
    Fiscal conservatism
    Founding principles

Now if you don't know how any of the above will effect the current leadership I would say you don't know much of what's going on.

Sometimes one loses the battle ... but wins the war. If people are too stupid to wake up keeping the hope alive until they do is not a bad thing to me. That is if we ever get a chance to vote again ... Obama, Romney same direction, same policies ... same dance for the puppeteers of the NWO.

Romney is a failed one-term governor who left office with only a 36% approval rating. He raised taxes and fees, he flip-flops on just about every issue to gain votes. He has been known to say one thing to one group of people and say the opposite to another group within the same day and state. He supports big corporations, wars, the Patriot Act and the NDAA ... so why do you think he will be "far superior" ... to me he will be Obama on steriods.

It is not a protest vote it is a vote for the only man qualified. I know when he places his hand on the Bible and swears to uphold the Constitution he will. He doesn't flip-flop for votes and he is consistent in his fiscal conservatism. You vote Romney and its a vote for Obama, but maybe that's who you want?

    Romney will comfortable beat Obama.
Last night Paul only recieved 13% of the vote in Texas, Romney won by a huge margin, it's consistant with the national support.
I like Ron Paul but How can you not see your vote is a protest vote?---he can't win

You will vote against someone you like knowing that the corrupt government and their controlled media have been the greatest reason why Romney is in the lead because why again?

Romney always seems to win by a huge margin ... until the delegates are counted. He wised up in AZ where his people actually removed the ballot box to "count" the votes to only return with Romney winning although there were more Ron Paul supporters there than Romney fans.

Nope ... I'm not a sheeple and it is not a protest vote its a vote for the better man.

Baby steps are exactly what you dont want to do when a truck is speeding towards you. And considering the fact that the government is busy "legalizing" tyranny or at the very least setting the precident for even killing Americans extrajudicially, then I'd say we have one hell of a truck speeding right at us.
