NBA players contribute more to Romney than Obama, despite president's passion for the game. The rats are jumping the USS Obama. True or False

Romney took in more when adding up contributions from players -- with 16 donors giving $71,000 to Romney and 23 giving $69,950 to Obama..
Group after group, day after day Obama's support is shrinking.

Like all phony wealthy people.., it is ONE image in PUBLIC...and another when it comes to their MONEY...

TAX the RICH....means a lot if YOU are considered RICH..., I mean they PLAYED hard for their money....and now saying they'll move to FRANCE is out of the question isn't it...

75% tax rate MEANS a lot if you are considered RICH....and they quite possibly can see the writing on the basketball court.

I find this fascinating, actually, in light of how many NBA players are black. According to NBC's latest poll, Romney has 0% support from black voters. Gee, who would have thought NBC pollsters could be wrong. :)

Despite most NBA players not being mental giants, or even equivalent to GED grads, they are astute enough to know that odumbo wants to spread their wealth around and is leading the country into communism, Islam, and racism...you don't see the NBA in Russia, China, Cuba, or anywhere in the Middle East.

I really don't see why thr GOP couldn't go with the rich only tax hike after Obama raised it from $250K to $1M cutoff income? Even a farm earning that Income (that's after normal expenses and payroll are taken out) could afford to pay more. I know it would only do a small part to balancing the budget, but if the "rich" would be willing to chip in more perhaps even the "working poor" or the "lower middle class" (I'm in there somewhere) wouldn't mind paying a littlefederal taxes besides just paying Social Security taxes. Think; a thousand rich families paying $50K each isn't nearly as much as a million families paying $500 each. Ther are ways to cut back on government spending that are off limits because they benefit the big campaign spenders, start with corporate aircraft dseductions and go from there.

If a farmer is making $1,000,000.00 a year PROFIT, not net income, but after costs and payroll, PURE PROFIT, How is an 8 or 10% increase really "hurting" him? I wish I had his problem. I come from farm people and grew up in farming country. I know my way around a milking machine and a tractor. A mucking shovel too for that matter.

The top 1% of the taxpayers pay 40% of all the taxes, 48% pay no taxes at all, 23% actually get a bigger tax return than they pay in. So exactly where is it that you think the rich aren't paying enough already?

Your motivation is to punish the successful rather than to allow each individual to have the freedom to succeed.

There have been many countries where your idea has been tried. It always turns the country into a hellhole, such as Zimbabwe. South Africa is on its way to the hellhole with 3,000 white farmers murdered in the last 10 years and the president singing a song about killing them.

But an earner in the top 1% makes more than 1000 times what an earner in the bottom 1% makes.Actually if someone made $20Million a year he'd be making MORE THAN A THOUSAND TIMES WHAT I MAKE, and I'm not below the poverty line. If he makes $20 Million and gets to keep only half that, I don't pity him. This is why I support the old Quaker "Rule of One Hundred".
  • akhippie Cat 2012/08/23 05:31:25

What about the bottom 48% that pay nothing at all, are they paying their share? And how about 23% of the people who actually get a bigger refund than they pay in, are they paying their share? How about GE they paid 0% taxes last year are they paying there share? Make everybody chip in something, and close the loopholes for huge companies and then you won't have to break the backs of the mom and pop small business owners. They are not just talking about raising taxes on just the people making $20mil, but the people making $200,000 a year, or couples making $250,000 a year.

When my husband died last November an I,being handicapped and losing 90% of his government managed pension just fell into that category. If you read my reply above I said "I......wouldn't mind paying a littlefederal taxes besides just paying Social Security taxes" so that's already been covered and I have often posted the exact same complaint you have about GE and all corporate loopholes. I think we really are in agreement on most of this. If you reread my reply above you'll see that I mentioned that ONLY AFTER OBAMA CHANGED HIS OFFER to raise the cutoff from $250K to 1M and the Republican leadership still refused to consider the offer, did I have my doubts about whom they actually are looking out for.

Did you know there are 21 NEW taxes in the ObamaCareTax law?

If you took 100% of the income of those who earn over a million dollars a year, it would not keep the government's doors open for more than a month. That's how bad it is - they are overspending by $4 billion a day.

No matter how much you give the government, they will find new ways to spend it. The answer is to reduce spending, not to increase taxes.

Obama and Pelosi are masters at hiding taxes in gigantic pieces of legislation.

The US Constitution takes up 18 pages of printer paper, why should health care take over 2000 pages?
