It's game time, baby.

The playoffs are finally over and it's time to get serious. The NBA finals this year are between the Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks. And let's just say we anticipate things to get a little intense.

The first game between the two teams is Tuesday at 9pm ET -- and both LeBron James (Miami Heat) and Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks) will be chasing after their first NBA Championship.

Who will you be rooting for this NBA season?

Nba refs cheated for dirk,kidd and terry they got tired of seeing the mavs get beat they r gettin old and time is running out lebron still has time and d wade got a ring in 06 so its about damn time dirk and kidd got a ring

Excuses, excuses. James, Wade and Bosh couldn't deliver a championship because they didn't have what it takes to win one. End of story.

Dallas had teamwork, Miami didn't. And you could tell Miami was desperate by the way Lebron and D Wade treated Dirk. As professionals, you don't do those things.

You are absolutely 100% correct. Wade's excuse was that they were conducting a "gotcha" test on the media. Puh-leeze! In the end, class, sportsmenship, and teamwork helped the Mavericks prevail over the Heat. The Mavs earned their championship and they should be very proud of their accomplishment.

I don't really have a dog in that fight. But since the Heat knocked out my Celtics, and seeing all the hoopla about the invincible King James, it warms my heart to see Dallas leading the series. I wish the Mavericks fair winds and following seas in salining right past the Heat.

I like the young guys, James and Wade but I have a sentimental feeling about the Mavricks. It is about time and this could be their last chance. If they can win one in Miami, it could come true.
