NATO Admits Four Killed Were Civilians, Not Insurgents: A Legitimate Cover-Up?

NATO has revised its initial claim that four teens killed along the road of Afghanistan's Khost Province included "two insurgents" and two "suspected insurgents," admitting instead that they were all innocent civilians.
The four boys killed by a military convoy were first spotted along a highway driving home from a volleyball game. After military personnel flashed their lights at their car, troops opened fire, killing everyone in the car. The victims included brothers Faizullah and Nasratullah Mansour, and their cousins Maiwand and Amirullah Mansour.
NATO has expressed their "regret" over the killings. This is the second incident where troops have attacked a civilian vehicle. NATO says they are now deploying training teams to "implement the critical lessons learned."
How do you feel about NATO initially covering up the fact that troops killed four Afghan civilians?

I'm not blaming the soldiers -- I wasn't there. But if your teenage son was killed by occupying troops, how would you feel? The locals generally don't like the Taliban or al Qaeda at all, but trusting the U.S. is a different story.
So... unless you favor genocide of the Afghan people, your plan will just guarantee that there are more and more terrorists in the coming years. And if you DO favor killing all Afghans, then that would make us WORSE than terrorists.
How would you feel if people from another country came in and killed innocent Americans? Oh, wait -- you do know -- it happened on 9/11. To a lesser extent, that is how Afghans feel when Americans kill them.
Get over your rage, and start thinking! The goal is not to bash around like a gorilla. The goal is to WIN. That means CAUSING al Qaeda to fail. If mishaps like this cause them to get more members, then we should work hard to avoid mishaps.
But go right ahead and beat your chest like a gorilla if you want. I prefer actually winning to raving with capital lock on.
There was not cover up, if there was they would not have admitted to the mistake.
